32 Chapter 32: Counter-attack (1/2)
”This dream feels so real” Caesar muttered while looking at his hand
He looked up, the sky was filled with black clouds and flashes of light could be seen when lightning struck.
Caesar felt something damp pass by his feet so he looked down, shock filled his eyes as he saw the hundreds of thousands of bodies that littered the ground and the ocean of blood that flowed through the ground.
*CRASH*
The sound of a huge collision from far away invaded Caesar's ears, he raised his eyes and could feel the shockwaves from an intense battle up ahead.
Curiosity filled Caesar's eyes as he stepped towards where he heard the collision… After walking for what felt like an hour he finally saw the source of the sound.
Five figures were fighting each other, four of them were banding up against 1… three of the four had cloaks over their faces and Caesar couldn't make out their facial features… One of the four was a gigantic wolf.
The person they were fighting was a tall man with white hair slicked back and a well-groomed goatee… He had a monocle over his right eye, his most striking features were his piercing red eyes, pale white skin and long nails.
Caesar could see their lips moving but heard no sound… Suddenly the white-haired middle-aged man turned towards Caesar and smiled slightly.
Suddenly a splitting plain attacked Caesar's head, he put both hands on his head and roared in pain.
”Ahhhhhh”
Soon the pain stopped and Caesar opened his eyes again, that familiar roof entered into his eyes. He sat up from the bed and walked to the bathroom.
*splash*
He splashed some water on his face while breathing heavily… ”what was that feeling” he whispered under his breath and frowned.
Sweat drenched his clothes, he removed his undergarments and prepared a bath for himself… Once the bath was prepared he stepped inside the tub and relaxed.
”Sigh, I wonder if those elves and humans are already fighting with each other” Caesar exhaled a warm breath and mumbled to himself.
*knock*
*knock*
”Are you alright? I heard screaming” Caesar heard Ahri's voice from behind the door.
”I-I need help,” Caesar said in a fake pained tone
*creak*
The door was immediately pushed open and an anxious voice followed after ”w-where are you, I will do what I can”
”I'm in here…” Caesar called out again.
*creak*
The bathroom door was pushed open and a frantic Ahri entered the room, Caesar stood up from the bathtub fully nude and smiled at her.
”Could you wash my back?” Caesar said slyly
”Y-you damn pervert,” Ahri said while covering her eyes with her hands… Caesars could see her blushing and peeking through the gaps of her fingers.
”Haha, have you not seen enough?” Caesar laughed gently
Ahri realizing what she was doing quickly turned around and slammed the door, ”you tricked me!” Caesar could hear Ahri's angry and frustrated voice from the bathroom.
*drip*
Caesar stepped out of the tub, drops of water fell from his long white hair as he walked towards a towel.
Caesar dried himself and walked out of the bathroom, Ahri was nowhere to be seen. Caesar smiled wryly and walked towards the closet and picked out a simple military outfit.
*creak*
Caesar stepped out of his room and headed towards the main halls in the manor… ”looks like she already left the house?” Caesar thought to himself seeing the empty rooms.
Caesar shook his head slightly as he walked outside and headed towards the castle gates, the streets were once again bustling full of people… food, bandages, weapons, all sorts of things were being carried to and from the castle gates to help the soldiers.
Everyone saluted or looked at Caesar with respect as he passed by.
”I heard he nearly stopped the enemy army himself,” a village girl said with dreamy eyes
”Stop dreaming girl, he is out of our league” a middle-aged woman replied back with scorn
”Pft, maybe for an old woman such as yourself” the young girl replied angrily
Caesar smiled and walked by the two women, ”It seems as though the people have gained hope again, they are quite energetic today.” he thought inwardly while looking at the people on the streets.
Caesar soon made it to the kingdom gates and a captain immediately walked towards him and saluted.
”Sir, the enemy seems to be… fighting with each other?”
Caesar nodded his head and asked curiously ”when did they start?”
”They should have started last night, the humans are getting the advantage though… they have much more numbers” the captain respectfully replied
”I see, order all of the troops to armor up” Caesar ordered after contemplating for a minute.
The captain looked at Caesar quizzically for awhile before saluting and yelling ”yes, sir!”
Caesar walked up the kingdom walls with his hands behind his back, he peered down at the battle the humans and elves were engaging in while laughing quietly to himself.
”I suppose we should help our elf friends out a bit haha”
