”How are you feeling now?” Qian Ling asked after Susu calmed down. Wetting the corner of a clean cloth, she helped Susu wipe her lips.
”Better..” Susu replied. Her breathing was back to being consistent.
”Good. Congratulations, you don't need to take any more herb baths. You've gotten rid of the toxins in your body. All the blood you've thrown up just now was the clots in your body. The drug in your system is all out. All you need to do is drink medicine from now on.” Qian Ling smiled and patted Susu's hands.
”You mean...I've recovered?” She asked weakly.
Nodding, Qian Ling repeated the good news to her with a smile. ”We've successfully forced the remaining toxins from your system.”
”That's great! That's such good news. You're healthy. All healthy now...” Chen Mu hugged Susu with trembling arms.
Meanwhile, Chen Nan was still holding the heavy bucket in his hands. His face was pale in comparison to Chen Mu and Qian Ling's because he saw the bloody liquid Susu had vomited into the bucket. Since the trio seemed to have forgotten about his existence, he stretched his face away from the bucket.
”C..Can I stop holding this? Or pour it out first?” He looked at Qian Ling with the helpless expression. That was when everyone turned their attention to the dark liquid in the bucket. Qian Ling quickly nodded, ”You could leave it aside or dump it out if you could. If not, I'll do it. If you're going out, help us spread the good news in the group chat. I have to take her pulse again later to make sure she's alright.”
