Zi Yan chuckled as she watched Kitty leave the hospital from the second floor. ”Dad, you're as sly as always.”
Professor Luo Xia responded with a smile, ”She's only paying for what she's done. I only used fear to mislead her.”
”Haha, we never kill our enemies. We only destroy their mentality and drive them to coo-coo land. Were you satisfied that your creepy smile convinced her about the slicing to sashimi crap? You knew that I was only an expert with arms.” She sighed, but didn't feel a second of pity for Kitty and Karen.
”Well, if she chose the other decision, I would knock her out and just crack a few extra bones before sending her overseas to a third world country. I wasn't planning to kill her to begin with. She's only a chess piece, not the checkmate that I want.”
He stomped his cane twice before turning around to meet Chen Mu, Chen Nan and Lin Que's suspicious stares. ”Gentlemen, you've waited for your turns.”
Chen Mu stepped up and said, ”It was impressive how you two tricked her into believing that her life was on the line by rubbing itch powder on her arm and wounds. Not only that, you faked an injection to make her believe that it was a lethal drug causing that reaction. This way, she would obediently do as you instructed and come back for the so-called antidote.”
Chen Nan nodded and clapped, ”She was so easily fooled. Even though I've known and worked with you two for many years, this was the first time I had seen such sneaky moves. Your tricks never fail to broaden my eyes.”
Zi Yan crossed her arms and turned around, ”What are you guys here for? Pretty sure you guys didn't come all the way next door to compliment our methods in dealing with bitches.”
Chen Nan's face became serious, ”All compliments aside, then. Years ago, you had a similar situation where a lethal drug was injected into your arm by an enemy. Ariana helped you operate under your instructions. Can you tell us what happened and if the same application could be used on Susu's arm?”
She took a deep breath and frowned, ”Do I look like the type of mother who would let her daughter die in front of her eyes and do nothing about it? The operation that was done on me is not suited for her current situation. I've already taken her pulse while she was unconscious. The drug is currently trapped in her right arm, but if I use the same method from years ago on her, it could be fatal.”
” Is there a way to reduce the amount of drug in her arm to fix her hand? Even though she may not have strength to lift or move her arm in the future, at least she could still sketch.” Chen Mu would never risk her life that way. Once he heard the word, fatal, he chose to back down from the thought of removing the drug entirely from her body.
”I have a way to save her fingers. It would take time for her fingers to recover and a lot of effort. At the end, it would depend on how well her body adapts to the surgery, but you guys must follow my orders and take care of her exactly the way I instruct you to.”
”I'll do anything as long as her fingers have the chance of moving again.” Chen Mu stared at her eye to eye with no signs hesitation.
”Oh? Then what if what I need from you are your precious fingers?” She walked over and grabbed his right hand. Her fingers brushed lightly against his fingertips as she smiled meaningfully.
”Then you can have them.” Chen Mu said as he took out a new scalpel from the counter.
”Chen Mu! Are you crazy?! Without that hand, how are you going to research medicine for her and take care of her?!” Lin Que tried to snatch the scalpel from his hand, but Chen Mu avoided his grabbing motion.
