After the call ended with Susu, the more Lily thought about it the angrier she felt. She started mumbling, ”Seriously! Just how vicious can a bitch get? My Susu never did shit to her and she dares to make such a bold move? Taking other people's report and purposely dumping it out. If I hadn't picked it up by chance, Susu might end up....”
”And that Tian Yuo! What the heck did she feed him? Crocodile shit? He actually loved that Karen? That scheming bitch? Arghhh, thank god they are married or else I would crack his head open to see what it's made of.” She cursed over and over as red lights kept interrupting her route to the mall.
When she stopped at the third red light, her cell phone rang. Without looking at the caller, she picked it up, ”Who is it?”
”Yo! Lily. It's me.”
”Nice timing, Tian Yuo. I was about to look for you too, but since you called me first I'll let you go first.” Even though she was angry, she tried to suppress her emotions because she didn't want to release her anger on someone unrelated to the incident.
”I have a favor that I wanted to ask you. I have a friend who is about to open her own fashion boutique, and I was wondering if you could be her model. Also, could you ask your father to sponsor her brand for the following season? I know you guys are considering which brand to work with right now.” The desperation in his voice raised Lily's suspicion for whom this request was for.
”Brand name and designer.” Her voice went five degrees colder.
”Eros by Karen.” He felt slightly uncomfortable with exposing Karen's name to her, so he only mentioned her first name.
Lily parked her car in the mall's parking lot at and hurriedly went inside the mall as she ridiculed this stupid man on the phone, ”Does she not have a surname? This is not the first day you've worked in the business field. How could you introduce someone with just her first name? Anyone on the street with the name Karen could be the designer then.”
”Karen... Yin.” It took him a few seconds of hesitation before responding.
”Oh~ So it's that woman you fancy. Nice favor you're asking me, but this miss is in a terrible mood. Don't let me run into you, or I'll whack you in the face and kick you in the nuts. You horrible monster.” She scolded him over the phone and instantly hung up, cutting him off.
”Arghh!! I'm so freaking mad!!! How does a husband not know that his wife is f.u.c.k.i.n.g sick and might be dying? How does a husband have the audacity to go behind the wife's back and help the CRUSH that he had feelings for by asking the wife's best friend to be the sponsor? Ridiculous psychopaths!!! One kick and I'll knock the swimmers out of your pouch, ending your family line in one go!”
As she stomped her way in and out of the elevator, she saw Susu from a distance. Susu was resting on a nearby bench in front of the Mashushi restaurant, looking a little worn out. Lily held onto the straps of her Crossbody bag tightly as she walked towards her.
