Chapter 28 - You Dont Believe me either, do you? (1/2)

Chen Mu dived into the water to save Susu while Tian Yuo got Karen.

Susu was barely breathing when Chen Mu carried her out of the water, while Karen had spat out mouthfuls of water. Tian Yuo hugged Karen close to his body and repeated, ”I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been so late. It's my fault. I won't leave you again.”

Chen Mu shouted, ”Quit those stupid talks! Call an ambulance!!!!” He adjusted Susu's position and performs CPR on her. When her body didn't respond, his eyes began to redden as fear crept up his spine and chills made his heart shiver at the thought of losing her.

Tian Yuo was still hugging Karen close to his chest, not calling for an ambulance. It was a bystander who called for an ambulance for them.

Fortunately, Susu coughed up some salted water and regained consciousness after Chen Mu's CPR attempts. Seeing her open her eyes to look at him again made tears fall from his eyes, ”T..Thank god I saved you. Thank goodness...What would I do without you..?” His rasped voice was filled with anxiety as if the girl in his arms would forever be lost if he had been one second slower.

The ambulance arrived shortly and both Karen and Susu were sent to the hospital. Liang Yu Qing was on vacation with her friends, and her phone had no signal when the hospital tried to reach out to her. Therefore, the hospital contacted Yin Zin Leung instead. Shen Wen was also notified because Chen Mu knew that only she had the right to lecture Tian Yuo if anything gets out of hand.

The doctors gave the girls some basic checkups and determined that they only drank a few mouthfuls of salt water. They would be fine after some rest. Tian Yuo stayed with Karen while Chen Mu stayed by Susu's side.

Karen woke up before Susu did and quickly held Tian Yuo's hands, ”Brother Yuo, I thought I'll never be able to see you again...I was so cold and scared. I.. I was so.. so.. scared..” She cried and trembled as she whimpered on the hospital bed.

”Shhh.. sh... it's alright. I'm here. I saved you. I won't let anyone hurt you ever again. Never, you hear me. I should have known that she was trying to play some tricks up her sleeves. This time, she actually wanted to kill you! If I wasn't there, you might have been...” Hearing her cries made him extremely furious.

He slammed the door to Susu's room open and startled her awake, ”Yin Susu! You knew that Karen was afraid of oceans and watery places! You purposely lured her out and pulled her into the water with you! If you wanted to die, you should die alone! Why did you drag her down with you, huh?!”

Susu was too tired to even bother arguing back, ”If you're done barking nonsense, then leave. I don't need to hear another word about Karen. Whether you choose to believe in her weak lily act and painful cries or you choose to believe that I harmed her on purpose, that is all on you. My life is more precious to me to spend it all in one go just to drag a bitch down the waters.”

”What did you just say?!” He raised his hand, attempting to slap Susu across the face. She closed her eyes and ignored him because she knew that Chen Mu was right by her side. Chen Mu twisted Tian Yuo's arm to his back and put him in a headlock position.

”I was with Susu the whole afternoon! It was Karen who called her out to the dock and initiating the pulling! It was Karen who wanted to drag Susu into the waters and not the other way around! Just when the f*ck will you open up your damn eyes to see who is right and wrong?!” Chen Mu tightened his grip, making Tian Yuo bend his knees.

He bit his lips and continued shouting nonsense, ”Murder!! You tried murdering Karen! You wench! You s.l.u.t! You disgraceful hooligan!!!”

”Who are you calling a s.l.u.t, a disgraceful hooligan, and a wench?!” A huge slap sound echoed in Susu's room, making Susu open her eyes instantly. It was Shen Wen. The strong slap landed on Tian Yuo's face, making him feel dizzy.
