Chapter 23 - First Act (1/2)

Since she can't fall asleep, she takes out the script and practices her lines again. She uses eye patch to prevent the sleeping bag tomorrow.

It was 3 Am in the morning when she become tired and overslept on the sofa. Then she was woken up by Jun Li and prepare herself to the sets.

he come early on the set to respect the senior in acting world. No one in the crew dare to greet her as everybody knew what happen to Meng Li Xue. However she become uncomfortable with everybody judging stare at her.

The crew had prepare private room for her. This privileges make her more awkward. She knew no one in the set, just Jun Li. She decide to go out and try to socialized. At first because of her high profile background, the crew distant themselves.

However NiNi had take the initiative to greet and talk to them. The air felt less awkward when NiNi start to tell jokes to the crews. Then Director for this movie, director Hao tell her to start preparing to shoot.

Director Hao is one of the famous director in the industry. He had many box-office worth creation. Waiting for me after class is his biggest project this year, yet the investor change it as they wish. He was already unhappy to start with.

His movie was threaten to fail just because one spoiler missy want to act. He hate this kind of actress the most, using connection to do whatever they want.

When Director Hao arrived at the set, he was quite surprise NiNi take the initiative to get along with the crew and familiarize herself. He taught she would act like those spoiled rich young missy. Acting almighty and do whatever they want.

But he also don't want to be prejudice, no matter how unsatisfied he was with this sudden changes of female lead. He judge actress based on their act.

NiNi had change her costumes and now the makeup artist is applying natural make up to her face. she was wearing uniform as Song Ming Xi. She look exactly like a high scholar going to school. She looks fresh and beautiful.

Her small figure fit the teenager girl even if she was 22 years old already. Her soft features face and skin were as good as baby, it looks like she was indeed trap in her teenage year.

”Thank you Mei-jie, you're so talented! I become so much younger thanks to you.”

Happy with her sweet mouth, the makeup artist Mei-jie smile happily. ”What are you talking about, you have a nice base to start with. Now quick go to set.”

Xiao Ni nodded and go out from her room. Just when she was going to director Hao, she hear a ruckus not far away from where she stand.

”Who is this NiNi, acting so high. She even got a private room for god sake, even our Ling Fei-jie didn't that arrogant.” A beautiful tall girl says to the group of girls.

NiNi recognized, that girl who just speaking ill of her called Ye Hua newly famous actress. She was sucking up to senior actress Ling Fei Fei. On Ling Fei left is a another figurant actress Yue Lan.

”Well she indeed had a beautiful face, but it doesn't meant she can act.”

NiNi walk pass them with chin up. It's useless to pick a fight with them. NiNi smile a polite smile while walking passed them.

”Senior, please take care of me.” She said as she smile and ignore their reaction.

”You see senior? Just because she had backing she dares to act impolite to you.” NiNi frown hearing this, she thought she was polite enough to someone just bad mouthing her.

”It's alright, just let her embarrassed herself when she act.” Ling Fei had eaten the shit those two girls feeding her. NiNi smile when she heard this.

True indeed, you can judge me if you know my ability already.

She can't act? She almost always play the female lead in her school theater back then. Just because she choose to sing, it doesn't meant she can't act.

So with confidence she tell the director she is ready. Thankfully the male lead, Alex Xu didn't seem to underestimate her. She knows because they had talk for building their chemistry. They will play as lover after all, it would be awkward if they don't get to know first.

The whole crews were curious at NiNi's ability. They want to see NiNi self-shaming herself. She only a singer how dare she take a female role as her acting debut.
