267 6.61 Journey To The West Not That JTTW Series...Fuuuh (1/2)

As implied by Izumi and similarly by the voice that boomed across the heavens while I was receiving the new cultivation levels, I've chosen to set aside a duration to make a journey to the west side of the monastery. Hopefully, Miroku also known as Hoshi-sama would be able to give some guidance since he also knew about my Third Eye but couldn't make out anything else besides it.

”Sensei, I would like to head down to the west side of the monastery. Would you like to come along with Izumi and me there? I am sure that you would be able to know more about me since I had attained the latest level. I would like to find out more about this.” I proposed to Hiko-sama since I might be able to take advantage of this cultivation level or not.

”How did you know about your new cultivation level? Did something happen to you?” inquired Hiko-sama as he eyed me with suspicion.

”Yes, Sensei. Something did transpire to me early this morning and I would prefer to get an appraisal on my new results, that's all.” I answered in a matter of fact to Hiko-sama and he bobbed his head in agreement.

”Alright then, since you are here, let's head out after lunch. Your Majesty would retire back at his castle or to the business conference building. The 4 Execom members had to entertain some new merchants. There are 14 of them and they had come all the way from Saga.”

”It had taken them more than 24 hours to get here by carriage and according to the map, they had travelled about 1350 km. Let them rest for one day before they resume their intention to purchase the merchandise. The 4 Execom members had accommodated their lodgings above.”

”I will notify Hachi to organize for a super long haul back which expects at least 4 stopovers before they could arrive there safely. That solitary journey would cost 135 gold coins per flight. The total flights would be 1890 gold coins for a total of 14 extended flights. Just have to take note of it, kid.”

”Understood, Sensei. Let's move out after lunch, shall we Izumi?” I agreed at Hiko-sama's suggestion and right after lunch, we made our journey to the monastery in the west.

It was a totally different atmosphere when we reached the foot of the hill. Basically, there weren't many residential houses there and the journey was a bit off the beaten trail. We had exited the western gate and from there, only a single path lined the mountainous area.

There's not even a place for a horse to pass through and the mountain top was used to be titled as 'Nameless Peak' even to this day. It was told that the possessor of the Peak was one of the scholars of a faction that was eradicated many years ago and lived an immortal who comprehended everything even before we enunciate it to him.

We looked up to the peak and observed that it was wrapped with a white mist. We only have to scrutinize our steps or we end up plunging to our demises when these mist shifted and concealed the path in front of us. The occurrence was like the one I had in specific parts of Taiwan before.

I carried my Kodachi with me and with the employment of the Kamehameha, I was able to disseminate some of the mist that encompassed the path ahead. No wonder the east side monastery didn't urge us to go and deliver the surplus ration of rice to the west side here. Little did we realise how precarious the route to the top of the peak was.

It took us more than an hour just to arrive at the top of the peak and once we got there, we were even stunned that no one is there to meet or greet us. Only a solitary monastery building existed at the peak and no other elements of life were visible.

”You must be Himura Kenshin and you are here to seek the answer to the path of the righteous. Hiko Seijuro, you are a guardian to this boy and you have done well in your guardianship. Izumi, you had emerged in Himura's life and thus becoming the ultimate true love of his life. I am the Immortal that had been living here for the last dozens of years in solitary. Is there anything you need to know about your path of righteousness, Himaru?”
