254 6.48 The Continuation Of The Mutilation Of The Treaty. (2/2)

”Errr... Did we actually do this before? Stepping on religious emblems and so on? Such brutality... Tell them to stop if they were doing it and tell them that their ancestors would have stumped feet when they are born in this world. Furthermore, I'm going to scrap this part. Is there any recorded occurrences and interventions made for this type of actions?”

I strike off the sensitive part where it depicts Japanese people acting in a rather barbaric manner, stepping and tearing down religious emblems. Only barbarians in other parts of the country would do that...especially Communism.

” ARTICLE X. The Japanese Government may purchase or construct in the United States ships- of-war, steamers, merchant ships, whale ships, cannon, munitions of war, and arms of all kinds, and any other things it may require. It shall have the right to engage in the United States scientific, naval and military men, artisans of all kind, and mariners to enter into its service. . . . ”

”This I leave to you, Your Majesty. I'm not a seafarer but a humble land dweller. It says here it shall the right to engage scientific, artisans of all kinds... It is good. There's no point of getting into seafaring goods, we are in Fukushima right now. We don't see the need to purchase these though. So what do you say? KIV this part because I would like to engage a group of experts. Mechanical Engineering personnel. 6 of them. For the time being.”

”Whatever you deem fit, my friend. We could only confirm the rest of the portmasters if they need any ships or not.” Tokugawa Iemochi sighed as he was unable to make a decision as quick as me.

”Alright, in that's the case, Our Majesty here would be extending his stay for another month. Please arrange for 6 Mechanical Engineers, and also the shipbuilders and their captains, the ship's engineers as well quartermaster. Just one each would do and arrange them to come over here first to discuss.”

I strike that portion off and wrote 'KIV' I wrote 6x Mechanical Engineers, 1x Bosun, 1xCaptain, 1xQM, 1xShip Engineer, and circled them all over the terms. And I wrote 'MEET THE GOV'

”ARTICLE XIII. After the 4th of July, 1872, upon the desire of either the American or Japanese Governments, and on one year's notice given by either party, this Treaty, and such portions of the Treaty of Kanagawa as remain unrevoked by this Treaty, together with the regulations of trade hereunto annexed, or those that may be hereafter introduced, shall be subject to revision by Commissioner s appointed on both sides for this purpose, who will be empowered to decide and insert therein, such amendments as experience shall prove to be desirable.”

”ARTICLE XIV. This Treaty shall go into effect on the 4th of July, 1859 . . . This Treaty is executed in quadruplicate, each copy being written in English, Japanese, and Dutch languages, all the versions having the same meaning and intention, but the Dutch version shall be considered as being the original....”

”4th of July... 1872 some more... We are only in 1860. Do you know what's going to happen in the next hour? Do you... Huh? This agreement dates... 1872...its 100 years before Sam Mulder was born... Do you know that? And on the 4th of July... Independence Day? Nice date and nice work guys.”

”ARTICLE XIII... I would like to state that anything added to this treaty would be agreed upon by the consul of the United States of America and Tokugawa Iemochi, Shogun for Japan. Any addendum would be omitted herein and would be countersigned by two parties.”

”Now, I'm going to let you review and His Majesty review before we move on to the next order of matters. Mayors of Fukushima, can you please stand up so we could see all of you right now...”

I motioned for the 7 of them to stand up and faces us as we began the onslaught by asking them several trap questions.
