Normally, light spirits appearance is difficult to see during the night where their form can be often caught on sight. Spirits are existences that love the sunlight. Light spirits in particular, depends on the sunlight and use it as their source of power so they appear in front of the people during daytime.

And these spirit that are now dancing together in the night.

They are – – – – having a burial ceremony for the deceased.

「These spirit’s Spirit User they had contracted with, that has pa.s.sed away….. maybe today is the death anniversary」

The person they might be offering the dance is someone from the church. I had no idea when did the said person pa.s.sed away but they must very close with each other since the spirit is dancing full of devotion.

Once in the Allevel territory, during the third death anniversary of a Spirit User living in the neighborhood, I have seen this dance, no matter how many times I see this, it’s beautiful yet saddening.

I closed my eyes and silently offered a solemn prayer.

And when I opened my eyes, my ears heard a silent knock.

「Who might it be….?」

The night is still young.

I thought Reiss might have forgotten to tell something, just to be sure I’ll confirm who’s behind the door. If it’s not Reiss, there is only one person I know who’ll the Spirit Princess directly in her room.

Behind the door was appeared wearing a white robe, bowing down deeply was Roa-kun who is shorter than me.

His blonde hair flows on his a little chubby cheeks.

「The night is not that late anyway. Something wrong?」

Roa-kun’s eyes were swimming in different directions. He was exchanging his glances on me and inside the room so I moved myself to the side .

「It’s fine, come in. Finding another place to talk at would just waste the time」

「E, Excuse me! F, For visiting a lady’s room during the night…… P, Pardon my intrusion」

While his shoulders were trembling he stepped his little foot inside.

There was carpet at the center of the room where a cus.h.i.+on which was embroided with a beautiful flower. I urged Roa-kun to sit there. I also sat the same way across him.

「Well them, what is the story about?」

「U, Umm. It’s something important and I can’t just say it to anybody…. let’s see. Let me start from here on」

Roa-kun’s expressions are showing how nervous he was, he then raised his face with a serious look and fixed his expression.

His indigo eyes were radiating as he looked at me straight.

And then, who would have though that the words that came from his lips would astonished me.

「I’ll be asking straight to the point. —- Suria-sama, have you heard of the existence of something that is not human called 『demon』?」
