Chapter 41 - Hanging Out (1/2)

Currently, Shun was making iced tea for the guests that were visiting his house and were currently sitting in his living room.

He poured the iced tea in a serving jug, took out three glasses from the crockery cabinet, prepared some snacks, put them in bowls, and set them all things on a tray and bought the tray out to the living room.

Shun: ”I bought some snacks and drinks.”

Sitting in the living room were Aomine Daiki and Momoi Satsuki.

Aomine & Satsuki: ”Thanks.”

Shun had asked Satsuki to call Aomine to hang out with him on the weekend. What he truly wanted was to discuss the details of the bet that he and Aomine made.

Shun looked at Aomine and smiled. The hyperactive basketball player had bought a gift when he visited him and nervously presented it to him.

Shun set the tray on the table and sat down with them. He poured the iced tea into the glasses and served them to his guest.

Shun got up and picked up a yellow pad and a pen from the nearby and set it on the table.

Shun: ”So Dai-chan, how are you today? I am happy that you accepted my invitation.”

Aomine was really nervous about visiting Shun's house today. Usually, he wouldn't be nervous about visiting someone's house, but Kageyama Shun was different.

Aomine: 'This guy definitely invited me to discuss details about the bet.'

Aomine cleared his throat and said.

Aomine: ”No-no, I am happy to be here.”

Satsuki: ”Yeah, all of us are happy to be here.”

Shun smiled widely, and that raised all the alarms in Aomine's head.

Shun: ”Now, before we have fun, let's finish the business first.”

Aomine: 'I knew it!'

Satsuki tilted her head and asked.

Satsuki: ”Eh, what business are we talking about?”

Shun looked at her and said.

Shun: ”I am talking about the bet that Dai-chan and I made before the finals, and as you are an important part of this bet, you need to be here.”

Shun opened the pad and uncapped the pen and asked.

Shun: ”Now I know that I didn't ask you before including in the bet, but I am willing to pay you the money upfront, I am willing to pay for grocery and man-hours.”

Aomine started to sweat hard and started to shake badly.

Satsuki looked at both boys sitting in front of her. She looked at Aomine, who was shaking so badly and at Shun, who was looking at her expectantly.

Suddenly Satsuki started to cry, and tears came rushing out of her eyes.

Satsuki: ”My cooking is not bad.”

Shun and Aomine, who saw that started to panic and didn't know what to do.

Aomine pulled Shun closer and whispered to him.

Aomine: ”You shouldn't have made this bet in the first place now see what happened. You made her cry.”

Shun whispered back an answer.

Shun: ”This is not my fault. None of this would have mattered if you had just won the bet. In conclusion, all of this is your fault, so don't try to push this on me.”

Aomine: 'This guy is so shameless.'

Shun pulled away from Aomine and moved towards Satsuki.

Shun: ”Satsuki-chan, I am not saying that your cooking is extremely bad, and if you look at it, this is an opportunity for you to show that to everybody who says otherwise.”

Satsuki, who heard Shun, asked him in between sobs.

Satsuki: ”Really? What do you mean by opportunity?”

Shun smiled supportively on the outside and schemingly on the inside. He spoke softly and clearly as if it to lure prey into a spider's web.

Shun: ”You see, because of the bet between Dai-chan and me, everybody thinks that your cooking is bad, and for that, I sincerely apologize.

But, if you make food for Dai-chan and make him eat it in front of everybody, then everybody will know how great of a cook you are.”

Shun looked towards Aomine, and his eyes conveyed all things he wanted to say to Aomine.

Shun: 'You wouldn't make a girl cry in front of so many people, would you?'

Aomine, who got the message was stunned, he couldn't help but curse out loud in his mind.

Aomine: 'This guy is the devil, he wants me to eat her food in front of an audience so that I would have to pull a happy and satisfied expression and if I didn't that would make Satsuki cry in front of other people.'

Aomine had now truly experienced how terrifying was the person known as Kageyama Shun.
