However……

What about [leading a group of warriors crossing seas]?

Reynold looks around his surrounding, other than himself and Beowulf, there is not a d.a.m.n [group of warriors]!

The key problem is the last sentence of the story [Grendel was finally defeated by the warriors]

What the heck is that [warriors] word doing there?

“My friend! Let’s go together and get rid of the evil dragon!”

“…………” Reynold was silent.

Reynold is somewhat speechless, based on the story, in the old English epic poem, Beowulf will experience three impactful and profound battles, the first is against the giant Grendel, second is against Grendel’s mother, the third is a giant dragon.

The giant dragon is Beowulf ultimate and final opponent.

However, that occurred fifty years after killing Grendel.

Reynold takes a look at the baldy, though he has savage facial features,  he look soft and immature.

If the current scenario have already progressed to the fight with the evil dragon after fifty years……..

Beowulf, that old man, should be inside his mom’s womb, no wait, if it’s fifty years ago, he should have already killed the giant Grendel while in his father or grand father’s body.…

This is obviously impossible…….

And so this is the problem, Reynold really want to pat Beowulf on his shoulder and ask, hey bro, who is the real traveler between the two of us?

(Tl: Traveler as in time/s.p.a.ce traveler)

“Are you sure your objective for this travel is killing an evil dragon?” Reynold tries to probe for more information.

“That’s right!” Beowulf nod his head heavily, “That b.a.s.t.a.r.d Grendel!”

“………….” Reynold was speechless again.

Grendel is obviously that giant’s name.

Reynold can’t help but to frown, he size up Beowulf again, why does he keep feeling that the main character gives off a scent of  [lacking in IQ]?

“Where are the warriors you led?” Reynold starts to inquire, he purposely emphasize on the word [warriors].

“AH!” Beowulf seems to be suffering from some pain, grimacing, he use his big hands and slap his own head ruthlessly.

Those slaps after slaps are totally not worth the pain, they only look awe-inspiring!

Looking at that resolute att.i.tude, Reynold is so shocked that he stared blankly.

“Brother! I’m wrong! Cool down! Stop hitting (yourself)!” Reynold hastily tries to obstruct him.

Dammit, this b.a.s.t.a.r.d, don’t hit yourself to death no matter what………

Otherwise, this instance will fail!

Beowulf is holding his head, gasping in pain, sweat has already appeared on his forehead, “Big waves! Boat! Collide!”

Reynold stroke his chin, from Beowulf’s broken speech, he roughly knew what happened.

He is depressed, that is not how the story was supposed to be like!

However, that is the reason why Reynold is required……..

Now is the time to reveal the real [meat hero phenomenon]

“Biribiribiri………Biribiribiri………”

The demon blade on Reynold’s back start trembling, letting out soft sounds.

Reynold knows that the little loli is coming out………

(Tl: Finally!)

A flash of light, little loli appear beside Beowulf jumping up and down, a face full of excitement “Ah! I* know what happened that uncle, baldy!”

(Tl*: not sure why the author used 人家(others) instead of 我(I) its doesn’t seem to fit the context)

“Oh? What happened?” Reynold ask.

Little Chihiro proudly answer, “Big waves! Boat! Collide!”

“…………..”

The main character whose boat crashed, lost his helper, and lacking in IQ, plus a noob demonic blade.

Reynold sigh.

Dammit, I’m drunk.

(tl: 这下真是醉了, no idea why he is going to be drunk? perhaps on disbelief that he got a useless party :D)
