Meat hero phenomenon
The majestic sunset, limitless blue sea, the ruthless killing intent, with those three factors adding together, made that man in Reynold’s eyes feel towering……
With a height of more than 180cm, st.u.r.dy muscles made of fats, and a face above the neck which look like those carved into the giant statues, a face fitting for the role of a tyrannical ruler.
Adding on with a bald hairstyle, and a necklace with [monster eyeb.a.l.l.s] on it, coupled with his scary look which will not lose to those monsters known as [magic beast]
Reynold guesses that he has been thrown into a story instance by his great teacher.
It is unexpectedly also a barren island……. (like the one he was at in the prev chapter)
Could it be I’m imprisoned on a barren island! I wonder if there are any female cla.s.smates coming together for training?
Cough cough!
Reynold correct himself, his thought quickly return to the right track, he starts to calculate how to converse with the brutal looking baldy.
Actually, it is not that Reynold do not want to converse with the bald guy.
The most important reason is that Reynold has no information about this story instance, he will need to ask some people about it, and in most conditions, travelers who enter story instances, are sent to the location closest to the [main character].
This violent big baldie might even be the main character……
Every story instances is also a [story world], they have their own [key factors], which are also time, place, people, event, and cause.
As a student of the [Traveler’s school], the responsibility of Reynold when he enters the [story instance] is to protect the balance of the world.
To put it simply, it is to help the main character achieve the completion of the story.
To put it more simply, Reynold’s reason of existence is to be the [meat hero phenomenon]!
(Tl: simply means that he is phenomenon who allows the MC to do unexpected stuff eg. running through a sea of arrows without getting hit, just like how someone becomes a meat s.h.i.+eld)
“h.e.l.lo, I am……”
Reynold raises his hands halfway and froze in midair.
The forced unnatural smile on his face also stiffened.
d.a.m.n!
That vile baldy unexpectedly turn a blind eye to him and walk past him?
Reynold felt grief and indignation in his heart, is his existence really that thin!
“Hey hey! Baldy bro!” Reynold act as though nothing happened and turn around, patting on the big baldy’s shoulder from behind.
“Kabam!”
A sharp an clear sound……
And a moment of silence…….
“WOAH!” on a tranquil island an extremely tragic anguished voice resounded in the air, frightening flocks and flocks of seabirds who returned for the night.
Two people are sitting on a big rock beside the beach, at the seaside, during sunset.
Reynold can’t help but to make “Tsss” sound due to the pain, he try to move his reset dislocated shoulder.
The baldy extends his arms which were thick like stone pillars, pulling Reynold’s arm “I’m sorry! Friend! I thought you were an evil dragon!”
While listening to explanation of the bald man, Reynold cannot help but to glare at the baldy, his heart can’t help but to ridicule…….
Evil dragon? Are you teasing me on purpose? Please, do you always use the method of tearing people’s arm off to greet attacks of evil dragons?
d.a.m.n, just how savage is his logic and way of thinking is to come up with such a funny reason!
“Oh, I have forgotten to introduce myself, I am Beowulf.”
After finis.h.i.+ng, Beowulf used his pillar like arms and pat Reynold’s arm roughly.
Beowulf has a body full of strong muscles filled with explosive strength, it appear that they are harder than rocks, the strength behind his pat is obvious, to put it simply it’s frightening, if it were a normal person, just by patting three times he might even vomit blood from internal injuries.
Reynold frown in pain.
“HAHAHA” after pats, Beowulf look at Reynold again and laugh boldly.
Reynold is speechless, he can’t understand this fellow at all, why the heck are you so happy? Do you think it feels that good to pat me?
(Tl: In Chinese “Do you think it feels that good to pat me” sound offensive and give the message of stop patting me)
After the pain slightly ease up, Reynold start to recall the name [Beowulf], trying to find a matching [story], only after finding the story of the island, he can clear the instance.
A lengthy poetic saga by Saxons from England <beowulf>.
The main character [Beowulf] was a warrior who possesses a st.u.r.dy physique and astonis.h.i.+ng combat ability. A dangerous formidable giant [Grendel] must be the powerful enemy Beowulf must confront.
In order to rescue a village which was terrorized by [Grendel], Beowulf led a group of warriors crossing seas to challenge Grendel head on.
After a large-scale b.l.o.o.d.y battle, Grendel was finally defeated by the warriors.
Recalling the story, Reynold seems to find some similarity and some differences.
Firstly, the main character Beowulf, which is this baldy, indeed possess an outstanding st.u.r.dy physique and astonis.h.i.+ng combat ability
Next, the part on [crossing seas], Reynold look at the endless ocean surrounding the island, which shows that the story seems to be true.
