”I have him, he won't run.”

Aiden blink a few times when he heard that

What does she mean???

'Is she that confident on her looks that she believed that I will fall head over heels over her at first sight??!'

Well, Aiden was not entirely convinced but the other party's voice is enough to convince the priestess.

She let go of Aiden's hand and readjusted her position behind the arc of dead flower.

Aiden immediately thought about his chance to run free. His eyes rested on the distant cemetery gates as he tried to move. But he soon found himself lock on the spot!

He could not move and he had no idea why

The Queen of Darkness approached the archway where Aiden stood at that moment. Aiden could not decide whether his heartbeat was getting faster or slowing down.

The woman before him was eye candy as well as a nightmare. Everything about her was perfect and beautiful, but everything she represents was also dark and it terrified him

She had this face that was beautifully arranged in a way that was not too pretty nor too hard.

Aiden found himself drawn to her eyes. Those two pools of pale gray eyes that glowed in the moonlight like a pool of silver, mesmerizing to the point that it was distracting.

Moving underneath the arch, the Queen of Darkness positioned herself opposite Aiden before she looked at him and raise her right hand to give him a casual wave.

”Aye! Hi there, what's up?”

She said as she simpered a smile. Upon closer observation, the other party looked delicate and innocent.

She looked like someone who could not even hurt a fly.

Looks can surely be deceiving.

Aiden's mouth opened slightly as he gaped in amazement and his brain seemed to stop functioning.

'Did I really want to run away from this girl or make out with her?'

For some reason, the other party rolled her eyes before staring at him as if she had seen a lunatic.

Part of him wanted to pull away, but the other part of him wanted to remain forever in the presence of those eyes

The thick mist hazed around them as Aiden's senses began to feel more and more dream-like.

The congregation melted away, and all that was left was Aiden and the Queen of Darkness.

Even the priestess' incoherent muttering dissolved into the ether.

For some reason, there was an unseen force willing Aiden to give in to the other party and just accept his fate.

He wanted to fight the compulsion as he tried to shift uncomfortably from his stuck position

”Can you just stop messing around and let us get over it? I still need to continue my beauty rest, you know?”

An echo crossed Aiden's mind and he blinked his eyes in bewilderment.

Was I am hearing things?? Or did I just hear her voice inside my head??

The corner of her eyes smiles as if she read what was in Aiden's mind

”If you can hear me, please let me go.”

”Can you stop whining?? FYI! You are the fool one who proposed under that darn Hanging man Tree and forced me into this marriage. TSS”

Ah crap--- I was trapped. Hopelessly trapped.

The priestess cleared her throat loudly and the queen tore her mesmerizing stare away from Aiden.

”Do you take this man to be your husband?”

The priestess asked, just like what any other priest does in any normal wedding ceremony.

The queen of darkness turned her head back to Aiden before exhaling in an exasperated way.

”As if I have a choice?? Tsss.. yeah.. I do... So be it”

The priestess snapped her sermon book shut and announced loudly,

”You may now kiss the groom!”

”Wait! Hold on! That is now how a wedding goes, you should as me first and when I said I do, then that is the only time we go to the kissing scene!”

”And the groom should be the one to kiss the bride!!! Not the other way around!”

But no one pays any heed in Aiden's protest and his voice was soon engulfed by the noise of the crowd as they burst out into applause.

Aiden turned his head towards his 'bride' and stared at her face that was overflowing with attraction.

She leaned closer to Aiden closing the distance between them

Aiden wanted to scream 'get away from me' but his body seemed to react the other way. His body seemed to react strongly to her touch, wanting it, needing it.

The Queen of Darkness caught his chin with her fingers and lifted his face upward before leaning downward until he could already feel her warm breath blowing on him

It was like two magnets were placed on his eyes. Aiden unknowingly closed his eyes and waited for the lips of the other party to descend on him and grazed his lips.

”Fool...”

She says as she blows at Aiden's closed eyes.

Before he knew what had struck him, Aiden found himself slowly falling down the abyss as oblivion took over him.

From this point onward...

He will be soooooo dead!
