Chapter 295 - MARRYING THE QUEEN OF DARKNESS (1/2)
The priestess suddenly snapped her finger and yelled to some unknown entity.
”Tell her highness to make haste before her groom passes out.”
Aiden's leg buckled underneath him but the priestess grabbed on to him and roughly pulled him up to his feet. Then she hissed in Aiden's ear, annoyed.
”For Pete's sake! Child, have courage!!! It is just marriage..”
Just a marriage??
MARRIAGE YOUR HEAD!!!
If I could just kill you, I would have killed you a thousand times already!!!!
Aiden wanted to shout that out but he no longer had the strength to do so.
So instead he weakly said and begged to the priestess.
”I can't get married. Please, let me go...”
The priestess gazed pitifully at Aiden as she whispered,
”Be brave, my child. It will be over soon.”
Terror was slowly paralyzing Aiden's body, freezing his muscles as his situation become more desperately hopeless.
The zombie priestess continues to support him as his knee tried to cave in.
Sensing Aiden's distress, the priestess called out to no one in particular as she issued another command.
”Will someone tells her Highness to hurry up and claim her groom before he could even pass out?!”
A small pale boy got up and run down the aisle disappearing in the mist.
A hush ripple of laughter followed after as they all stared at the spectacle before them
”Settle down now,”
The priestess said firmly to the rowdy crowd.
She then gave Aiden's shoulder a gentle squeeze.
Err... Is she trying to cheer me up or give me some kind of moral support or something???
Aiden can't but feel that his head was starting to spin
It did not take long for the small pale boy to come running back up the aisle and the priestess mouthed,
'Is she coming'
On which the small pale boy nodded to show his answer.
”O geez!! Please, if this is a nightmare, please someone wake me up!
Aiden closed his eyes tightly before opening it up once again. Hoping that by doing so, he will wake himself up from this nightmare.
The heads of the crowd began to peer eagerly over their shoulders expecting something or someone.
Aiden stood rigidly and helplessly at the front of the altar while the cold and terror numbed him down to his core.
The decomposing priestess of the River of Synx made a small indication towards another invisible entity and out of nowhere an organ began to play a haunting melody.
The wedding guests all turned sideways looking down the aisle as they waited in anticipation.
Their faces lit up in broad smiles as the music started to kick in. I was not the usual bridal march that one should expect during a wedding. But it was something far grander than that.
It was something like those kinds of music you could hear on the TV from some foreign royal courts.
Aiden would have probably enjoyed listening to this kind of music if his life had not been on the brink of going down into following the script of some horror movie scene.
Waves of panic started to crash into Aiden's body now and in that split second he was momentarily revived with a rush of adrenaline.
In one desperate attempt, he violently tried to break free from the priestess's grasp.
Twisting and turning, the priestess struggled to control Aiden.
For a fleeting second, Aiden thought that he would be able to escape. But then out of the corner of his eyes, he caught a glimpse of something that made him stop on his struggle
Lifting his gaze, Aiden watched as the legend walked down the aisle towards him.
The wedding guests stood to their feet and bowed their heads in respect as she walked down the aisle with her black wedding dress.
Black wedding dress???!
Well, she is the Queen of Darkness, after all.
Maybe she also prefers that color in her own wedding motif.
Unlike Aiden's vision of the walking dead just like what he imagines, the Queen of Darkness looked the opposite. She looked like real flesh and blood.
She walked gracefully down the aisle like a beautiful princess with her long black dress that has a long slit on its side showing her pale white and extremely long legs. Making her looked like as if she was some international supermodel.
Aiden's breath, as well as his words of protest, were all caught in his throat as he thought to himself how gorgeous the other party was.
She was that kind of that gorgeous that could distract any man in midst of his fight with a zombie priestess.
She was dead gorgeous!
A downright femme fatale!!!
The Queen of Darkness walked down the aisle like a fashion model on a runaway on one of the fashion capitals of the world.
Aiden watched with strange curiosity as the other party flipped her hair to the side and casually observed the curl locks on her sleek silver-like hair
There was a slight hint of annoyance reflecting in her gray eyes. Those eyes were hypnotic.
No.
She was hypnotic!
Aiden finds himself standing at the edge of some unknown metamorphic void and all he could think about is how good she looked with that black wedding dress.
The Queen of Darkness waved a relaxed hand at the priestess and said with an upturned eyebrow.
”You can let him go now..”
The priestess' grip on Aiden's wrist loosened but not entirely.
The priestess wasn't sure if Aiden will going to run or not but the Queen of Darkness told her not to worry
