”What d-do you mean??? O-of course.... none. Why? do you have a problem with me?”

Yun Xue said as he tried to feign ignorance.

But he was not a good liar though, because he cannot keep his cool while he was saying that.

He can't help but stutter and his eyes were darting in all places as he answered Mu Lingxi's question.

”Well, it is just that I can't shake the feeling that you were trying to avoid me and whenever you talk to me, you seemed to be awkward about it. Why is that?”

Mu Lingxi fired up another question without holding back herself. She just wanted to make everything clear.

Since she can't recall anything that she might have done to make Yun Xue that way.

If there is something that needs to be resolved, she believed that it would be best if they could talk about it and settle it already.

They went on looking for the ancient chalice without talking with one another.

After a while of searching, they heard Chan Gu's voice calling for their attention. It seemed that he and Fan Lei was already back at their meeting point even before the two-hour time mark.

”Guys! Come over here! I think I already found it!”

Before Mu Lingxi and Yun Xue could even continue going deeper to the eastern part of the old mansion, they heard Chan Gu's shout.

Since Chan Gu already found what they needed, then there is no point in searching aimlessly anymore. So they decided to head back to their meeting point.

There they saw Chan Gu waving at them.

One of his hands was holding a chalice and it was golden in color. There was a cover placed above it to seal the chalice.

It is a good thing that the cover of the chalice seemed tight.

It does not look like the cover will going come off easily if they will not purposely open it.

”It's actually easier than I expected..'

Chan Gu said to his friends as he gave another look at the ancient chalice that he was holding in his hand.

Indeed, finding the ancient chalice had been too easy for him.

They have already prepared themselves for the worst. In fact, they already expected that they would at least meet some trap or trial before they could find the ancient chalice.

But it looks like they were just overthinking things. Because apparently, locating for the ancient chalice is not a problem at all.
