218 REQUEST PERMISSION TO EXI (1/2)

The last day of the class is the same day as when Mu Lingxi and her friends were planning to set foot for their mission. This anticipated day arrived without any further delays.

After getting dismissed from their last class, the group headed back to their dormitory right away.

There they gather everything that might come useful to them. Just like before, when they took their first mission, Mu Lingxi and the others also prepare a lot of things and bring it with them.

The group knew well enough that the path leading to the secrets of magic as well as the forgotten practice of necromancy is not an easy one.

Danger will surely lurk around them in every step that they would take. In such kind of environment, where life and death could very much likely hinge on the slightest millimeter of difference, it is better for them to come prepared as much as possible.

It is better to do that than being sorry later on.

”Su Yan, I heard that you will be going to work at Zodiac Arena, is that true?”

Chan Gu asked when he got a chance to talk to Mu Lingxi while they were packing their things and ensuring that they had everything they need.

”Oh yes, that is right. I will be doing some minor work there every after class. As you know, I'm short of some magic stones as of the moment. So needed to earn some.”

”Well, good luck with your new job then. I guess we will be seeing each other more often. I usually go there to train.”

”Yun Xue also goes to that same stadium. What a pity that I decided to enroll in the other sports complex instead. If I had known earlier, I should have chosen Zodiac Arena over Affinity Arena.”

Fan Lei butted in when he heard what his friends were talking about.

”Its okay Fan Lei, I herd that Affinity Arena hires a far more experienced swordmaster than Zodiac Arena. So you can not say that you are at the losing end of the stick. In any case, your stadium is just a few walks away from ours. We can definitely meet up if we have some free time.”

Cha Gu said as he patted Fan Le's shoulder.

”Guys, I was just curious, but let me ask you. Have you noticed any changes in Yun Xue recently? I find him weird. He seemed to be keeping his distance, is there anything wrong?

”I don't think so? He seemed fine to me.”

”So do I. I didn't notice any changes from him. Why Su Yan?”

”Oh, is that so? Well, uhmm.. never mind. Just forget about me asking ..”

Mu Lingxi's friends did not think that anything seemed to be going and so they were less suspicious and just shrugged their shoulders before forgetting about the matter altogether.

But Mu Lingxi, on the other hand, had a different issue in mind. If Yun Xue was being indifferent just like he usually is, she won't mind it at all.

But if it concerns about him, being indifferent towards her but he was okay with the others, that would be entirely another part of the story that needs to be looked at.

Just what has she done wrong for her to deserve such kind of treatment. Yun Xue was giving her a cold shoulder and was avoiding her for quite some time now.

But she cannot recall anything that could possibly cause him to act that way.

Could it be somehow related to the incident with Guinevere? But it's not my fault in the first place???!!!! Why do I have to end up being discriminated for that?

Before she could even continue analyzing the situation between her and Yun Xue, Mu Lingxi was called by her friends to get ready.
