The moment the first ray of sunlight penetrated the horizon, the master and cat duo also started their journey.

[Do you have a place in mind??? Where do we go next???]
Asked Janus, as they made their way towards the bustling market.
”I honestly don't know,” Mu Lingxi said with a voice full of uncertainty.
”MEOW”
[I guess I know???? At least that should be anywhere except here. The longer we stay here, the higher the risk that we will get caught either by the emperor or your clan.]
”That is something that I won't allow,...Ohh yeah, by the way-------------
”MEOW”
”HEYYYY!!!!! Hey where is your ring????!!!!”
”Ehhhh???”
Mu Lingxi was flabbergasted when she heard what Janus just said, but when she looked at her finger that used to wear her ring, it was gone!
”THIEEEEEEEFFFFFF!!! Stop that one! He stole my ring!!!!”
The people who heard Mu Lingxi were startled by her sudden outburst. They momentarily step aside and turn their head to the girl running at full speed.
She was not sure how the thief manages to take her ring away from her hands without alarming her. It was odd though, cause she really did not feel anything.
Even now, she could still feel like she was wearing a ring, but when she looks at it, there is none! If not for Janus telling it to her, it was a question if she could notice it.
She knew instantly that it was the same guy who just passes by at her side who took her ring. She remembered exactly how he looks like because he is handsome at some point.
Yet the moment that she realized that her ring was missing in her finger, the guy run away as fast as he could.
She continued to chase after him, and it was as if her vision just focused at the figure running away from her.
The thief was too troublesome. Sometimes, he will push away a bunch of onlookers on his way to slowed Mu Lingxi and Janus' pursuit. Even the fruit stalls did not escape his scheme as he tried to put it between the road, blocking his pursuers.
Janus just like Mu Lingxi was running at full speed, yet he was still at her cat form. He did not dare to transform in front of the crowd to avoid unnecessary trouble.
