Chapter 22　Holiday

The next day, the dazzling morning sun which leaked from the gap of the closed window woke me up. Since my head is ringing due to the hangover, I try using healing magic as an experiment. I feel slightly better now. Did the hangover considered as abnormal status?

The door made a creaking sound when opened, and Claire comes back into the room with a pitcher.

“Good morning. Master…I got some water…”

Did she still worried about me even when she herself got a hangover? She such a good girl after all. I ask her to sit down and not overdoing it while applying the healing magic. Her complexion gradually returned when the nausea got reduced.

“Since the city should be open by now, shall we go shopping after breakfast?”

It was decided during yesterday’s feast, that today will be a holiday. As we still have time until the deadline of the quest, and not to mention all that stress piled up when going into the dungeon. I felt that it should be pleasant to bathe in the light today outside.

I got hungry once I recovered from the hangover. Although I wasn’t aware of it, the amount that I eat after I become an adventurer had increased. Since there’s no significant changes to my weight even when I eat a lot, I guess the necessary amount of energy needed by the body increases when the maximum HP increased. Since the entire party member aside from me also turn like this, I guess it’s the same for all adventurers.

A fragrant smell of roasted meat drifter from one of the stalls, it seems like I can win against my appet.i.te in the morning. Unintentionally I drifted to the stall, seeing the big lump of meat getting roasted. Cutting it thinly with a knife, it was placed in between a cut bread along with  multiple vegetables. It’s just like the dish called Donner kebab in the former world.

I ask the old man of the stall for the share of 2 people, and bite on it on the spot. The burning hot meat juice begin to overflow in my mouth, the melting cheese favors it well making it very delicious. I would be able to eat it non-stop if it’s like this. After I asked for another one on the spot, we decided to continue shopping.

Since we’ve just bought our equipment it’s unnecessary for now. Although I want to go to the clothe shop to purchase everyday wear first, we decided to take a bath first. Since we start having a feast as soon as we exit the dungeon yesterday, we got drunk and unable to take a bath.

Fortunately, from the information heard from the owner of the hotel we’re staying last night to have a feast, the 『Golden Sheep pavilion』, there’s a public bath in this Koper town.

The public bath in this world seems to be open for 24 hours thanks to the monster core. It’s convenient since they only need to use the monster core to heat it up. We arrived at the entrance divided by gender. As expected, it’s not mixed bathing huh?

Once we pay the fee at the entrance, we received a soap in distorted form, a tower and a small pail. Its easy since you don’t need to prepare it yourself. Its slightly smaller than the public bath in j.a.pan if you compared it by the area, the sole bathtube they have is pretty huge. There’s no sauna as they doesn’t seem to have an idea to enjoy the hot water in more than one ways.

I think there’s not that many visitor right now because of the time, so there’s no atmosphere where fellow adventurers and old men coming here right after finis.h.i.+ng their works.

I immediately scoop the hot water and pour it on my head. Although I tried to shampooed my hair by getting it wet enough, It doesn’t go that well. An uncle beside me pa.s.s me some powdered soap. Apparently,the soap powder is a different product used for the hair. They should have said that earlier.
