1 Episode 1- The Beginning (2/2)

He nods.

”Well...it was okay. Couldn't have been better” I say with a fake smile. ”You?”

He sighs. ”Same old same old.”

'For Cole his nights are spent helping his mom with bills. So he doesn't really get a lot of sleep. He's always been like this for years. Ever since his dad left when he was only six.' I put my hand on his shoulder. ”Its okay” I smile and so does he.

He shakes my hand off. ”Anyways hows your cla.s.ses? Still have that guy checking you out?” He laughs.

I punch him while laughing. ”You mean Ben?”

”Yeah, stink boy. Right?” He takes a drink out of the refrigerator.

”I guess” I smile. ”Although he doesn't stink as bad as you” I laugh.

Cole smiles. ”Hey! Come on! I went to school stinking once. Once!”

I laugh more. Unable to breath.

He laughs. ”Okay okay but for real. How's school?”

I calm down an smile. ”Its okay. Yo-” Suddenly a banging noise comes from up stairs.

Cole looks at me. ”Kevin?”

I shake my head. I whisper. ”He isn't home. Nor is my parents.” My heart starts to pound.

”Izzy stay here.” Cole says grabbing a kitchen knife. He walks in the living room.

I follow him. ”I'm coming. Just in case.”

He nods and we both go up the stairs quietly. As we do another bang can be heard and another.

”Its coming from the bathroom” Cole whispers.

As we get closer to the bathroom the banging gets louder an louder.

”What do you think it is?” I ask scared.

”Don't know.” He looks at me. ”I'm going to open the door. Okay?”

”Okay.” I say nodding.

Cole gets closer to the door and grabs the k.n.o.b. He quickly swings the door open.

My eyes widen. ”Cole watch out!”
