Yi Fei placed her lunch box on the floor quietly and then put her ear against the door so that she could hear well. She knew that she was rude at the moment, but her curiosity got the best of her.

”Xiao Meng, it wasn't reverse psychology when I told you not to love me.”

There was a slight pause. n.o.body talked for some time.

”Don't fall in love with me. You deserved a better guy than me.”

Curiosity kills the cat. Yi Fei was glued to the door when suddenly, the door jerked opened. Yi Fei lost her stability for a moment and fell onto the floor.

While still on the floor, Yi Fei lifted her head slowly because she was embarra.s.sed for getting caught while eavesdropping on other people's confession. She looked up to the person who was standing in front of her, and she was confounded – Cheng Xiao Meng was crying.

Cheng Xiao Meng didn't offer her hand to help Yi Fei to stand up. While Yi Fei was still on the floor, Cheng Xiao Meng walked away from Bai Jing Ting's office with tears streaming down her cheek.

Bai Jing Ting went over to Yi Fei and offered his hand to help her, but Yi Fei was too preoccupied watching Cheng Xiao Meng's retreating. Bai Jing Ting had to call her name a few times to get her attention. His hand was ignored.

After her name being called for a few times, Yi Fei looked at Bai Jing Ting – while still on the floor. She had a lot of questions for him about Cheng Xiao Meng.

Upon seeing her stunned look, Bai Jing Ting wondered how much did Yi Fei hear of the conversation between him and Cheng Xiao Meng because he didn't want Yi Fei to know of his feeling from a conversation. He wanted to be the one to tell her properly.

Yi Fei snapped out from her bubble of thought and stood up abruptly by herself without the help from Bai Jing Ting. She took her lunch box and put the carrier to Bai Jing Ting's extended hand that she ignored.

”Brother Ting, you eat this. I have an important thing to do.”

Without waiting for his reply, Yi Fei ran towards the direction where Cheng Xiao Meng took just now. Bai Jing Ting knew that Yi Fei must want to go after Cheng Xiao Meng.

Bai Jing Ting looked at the bright pink lunch box in his hand. He guessed that it's time for him to confess his feeling.
