Experiment (Necklace)

“You b.a.s.t.a.r.ds, do you think you’ll get away with doing this!”

The old knight is shouting something with his arms tied up. I ignore it, create new zombies and skeleton and gather the villagers in the center of the village. Perhaps the women and children are uneasy being surrounded by zombies and skeletons, there are some of them screaming and some of them grumbling.

Among the men, a couple of them who partic.i.p.ated in the fight were cut down by the goblin zombies and are on the brink of death. They are probably still alive because of my orders.

Perhaps the elderlies have given up, they are all making the same dispirited face. There was also an old woman who struggled violently saying that she would rather kill herself than to be killed by me. It was a pain so I had the goblin zombie subdue her.

“The Feudal Lord of this territory, Artra-sama won’t leave you guys be! If that person who’s kind to his citizens hears about this, something like you guys are!”

……What a noisy old knight. I don’t mind just killing him but, I’ll make him my underling here. I grab the old knight’s neck who’s still shouting.

Although the other villagers are afraid of my actions, they still didn’t say anything. They all kept quiet so that the aggression wouldn’t point towards them.

Then, I throw the old knight down to where it’s visible to everybody. He was about to shout despite coughing violently so I stepped on his face. There are creaking sounds but, it’s all good since the old knight shut up.

“Now, I’m going to kill this old knight and change him into a zombie. Do you want to save this old knight?”

The villagers nod to my words. But, all of them turn their faces away when they heard what’s next. That is

“Then, one person be a sacrifice in exchange for the old knight. That way I’ll spare the old knight”

It’s because I proposed a sacrifice. When I did that, everybody turns their face away as expected. But, there was a person that came out amongst them.

It was, a very young girl.

“Don, don’t bully Rowley Oji-cha¹!”

The girl hits my leg as she says that. Naturally, there isn’t any pain but……hmm.

“Then, are you going to take the place of this old knight?”

“Wha!? Wa, wait a minute! I’ll kill you if you lay your hands on my daughter!”

“D, dear, stop! And Lucy, come back! Please, forgive us. I beg for your forgiveness!”

When I ask the girl, the man and the woman who can be thought of as the girl’s parents shout. The man looks as if he’s about to jump out at any time with his face dyed in red but, the wife sitting beside him is somehow stopping him.

“Then, which one of you is going to be the sacrifice? I’ll let her go if you do”

The couple is speechless when I say it again. That’s how it is after all. Anyhow their own lives are more important. Well, I’ll restrain from turning the girl into a zombie. Since she won’t be of use even if I do.

I thought of having her become the food to my necklace and stretched my hand towards her when
