What did she just say? Was she looking down on him? All right, she was getting more and more arrogant.

When the call ended, Yan Su was shocked by what she had just said over the phone. What on earth did she just say to him? She was almost regretting her conversation and wished that she could retract her statement.

She knew Mo Liuxi well enough to know that he would never let her off the hook.

She was bound to be punished for her words; it was just a matter of delaying her reckoning now.

Yan Su washed her face with some cold water and thought about the situation that she was in. She comforted herself with the hope that he would eventually tire himself out.

What else could he do if she decided to lie still?

Although that was what she was telling herself, she was still intimidated by Mo Liuxi. Over the next few days, she was so anxious that it affected her performance at work. It was difficult for her to concentrate on her music. Finally, Abu asked worryingly, “Susu, what’s going on lately? I’ve got a feeling that your heart is not really here with us. You’ll be in danger tomorrow if you’re like this in the compet.i.tion.”

“Perhaps I’ve just been too stressed out.” Yan Su nodded her head.

It was Friday and Yan Su rushed to the television station for the compet.i.tion. When she arrived in the studio, she looked around anxiously. In the resting lounge, she leaned back and quietly thought about her performance when someone knocked on the door. She jumped like a frightened rabbit and got to her feet.
