“The entertainment circle? I never thought about that.” Thinking about s.h.i.+ Xiang, Yan Su had a trace of sadness emerging from her eyes. “That circle is way too complicated, and messy. Many people in that circle can’t resist temptation. Many of them cheat on their partners and betray their friends. I’ll never be with someone from that circle.”

Mo Liuxi dropped the crawfish in his hand.

That would be a big problem. He was meant to become a director and couldn’t possibly become anything else.

“Not everyone is like that. Look at me. Am I not keeping my nose clean? And you. You have been resisting the lures too, haven’t you?”

He was trying to say that in the entire entertainment circle, they were the perfect match for each other.

“Me?” Yan Su gave a bitter smile and said, “I am like this now, but I’ll probably change in the future. Who knows what I might turn into? As for you. You’re so talented, and you own a film company. You’ll be the one pursued by the others. I guess money doesn’t mean that much to you. You’ll probably meet a pretty girl in the future…”

“I won’t.” Mo Liuxi suddenly interrupted her.

He spoke so loudly that Yan Su gave a start. The crawfish in her hand was squeezed, and the juice splashed onto her face, seeping into her eyes.

She hurriedly took off her gloves and wiped her eyes with the backs of her hands.

The harder she wiped, the worse it hurt.

“Don’t move. You have oil on the back of your hands too.” Mo Liuxi held her hands. Her hands were so small and soft that he didn’t want to let them go.

After spending a few seconds in a daze, Mo Liuxi finally came back to his senses. He stood up and said, “Sit here. I’ll get you a wet towel.”

Yan Su nodded. Her eye sockets were red, making her look very vulnerable.

Mo Liuxi gave her another glance, then quickly brought over a wet towel, gently wiping her right eye with it.
