Luosang looked at the tall and st.u.r.dy man who walked before her, wearing only a s.h.i.+rt. As she prepared to give his jacket back to him, Nian Junting abruptly stopped, slightly turned his body to give her a sideways glance, then said, “Do you think I care about those three words? Do I look like such a narrow-minded person?”

Luosang didn’t know how to respond.

Out of shame, Lu Kang as Nian Junting’s a.s.sistant really wanted to cover his own face at that moment.

Boss, you truly are a narrow-minded person. How could you say that so confidently?

“Luosang, are you okay?” Through the shadow of night, Yan Su quickly walked over. She was wearing a simply-designed pair of ripped jeans and a baseball jacket with raindrops sparkling on her black and s.h.i.+ny ponytail. A few moist and tousled locks of hair were sticking on her delicate face, making her look beautiful and captivating.

Lu Kang’s heart skipped a beat. He quietly walked to Nian Junting and ventured to say in a low voice, “Mr. Nian, Miss. Luo didn’t only make herself prettier. Her friend is pretty too.”

Nian Junting expressionlessly glanced at his a.s.sistant.

“I’m alright,” said Luosang. She felt that her heart was warmed. Ever since Zhong Yi betrayed her, she didn’t dare to believe any friend. But now she was somehow touched when seeing Yan Su coming at her, wearing soaked clothes. “Why didn’t you bring an umbrella?” She asked.

“I didn’t bring my umbrella when I left the dorm today. Earlier, I left my work in a hurry, so I didn’t have the time to borrow one.” while speaking, Yan Su was looking the two young men beside Luosang from head to toe. She felt that the two neatly dressed men don’t look like bad guys.

As his boss didn’t seem to want to talk, Lu Kang stepped up and explained smilingly, “h.e.l.lo, we’re Ms. Luo’s friends. We happened to meet her in a club.”

Yan Su turned to Luosang. As Luosang nodded, she finally stopped worrying.

“Mr. Nian, thank you for helping me today. It’s late, we should head back,” said Luosang. She took off the jacket and handed it to Nian Junting.

Nian Junting stared at her exposed shoulders for a while, then responded with, “Put it on. Where do you live? I’ll drive you.”
