Chapter 452 - How Far Can She Actually Go and How Tall Can She Stand (2/2)
Ling Chuxi guarded by the bedside. She had not slept the whole night and there was a faint bloodshot in her eyes.
“You should depart, little Chuxi.” Fifth Elder said to Ling Chuxi.
“Fifth Elder, I will entrust Second Elder to you.” Ling Chuxi stood up and said to Fifth Elder.
“Little Chuxi, just do your best. No matter what happens, remember to come back well and alive. You are the hope of the Ling family and also the hope of Second Elder.” Fifth Elder said to Ling Chuxi.
“Master, rest a.s.sured. I will not move a step away from him within this half year. Absolutely nothing will happen to Second Elder.” Luo Li also stood up and said.
“Thanks for the trouble.” Ling Chuxi nodded at Luo Li. With Luo Li guarding by Second Elder’s side, she was more relieved as well.
Ling Chuxi took a deep look at Second Elder and went downstairs. The servants had prepared a few fast horses which were waiting for her downstairs. They were all st.u.r.dy horses which were chosen among thousands. Some were saddled while some were not, and these were prepared to be exchanged while riding on the road. The road toward Ling Xi City of Shang Yuan Country was a far and difficult journey from here. If they did not exchange the horses that they rode on and if their horses had stumbled midway, they could only walk.
Ling Yichen, Baili Han and Fu Chengyu stood by the side. After helping to settle Second Elder down, Ling Chuxi had already prepared the antidote for Fu Chengyu and his complexion looked much better.
“Baili, Big Brother Fu, you guys don’t have to go this time. It will do for Yichen and I to go.” Ling Chuxi said to the few of them.
She only wished to find the Crisis Reverse Pill as soon as possible during this journey to Shang Yuan Country. She did not want to delay a single moment. Fu Chengyu had just taken the antidote and had yet to breakthrough and advance into the Great Fulfilment. And Baili Han… Ling Chuxi hoped that she would not need to go look for him everywhere if they were to meet with any trouble. If this directionally-challenged idiot were to get lost during a critical moment, it would make one’s chest ache with pain. Oh, no. It would cause one to have a very bad headache.
