Chapter 114 - Let’s Do This (2/2)

Light, Lenn and Coliart had all managed to break through to the peak of magic, quickly approaching the stage above.

With this speed, the entirety of the group would be able to leave within the next two weeks.

Perhaps they would see Simon sooner rather than later.

”Mom! I broke through to the 8th rank of visionary! Praise me!” Dahlia hugged Malece warmly and waited for her impending praise.

”Very good, Dahlia. Dad would be very proud. How about you make him more proud by breaking through to the first rank of Devil Magic by the end of the month?” Malece stroked Dahlia's hair. Softly and gently, Malece treated her daughter with her most genuine affections. Her daughter was just too precious, even if she had grown up so quickly, she would always be Malece's baby.

”Yey! When can we finally see dad? I want to show him how strong I've become! He will praise me so much! I want to be cool like dad… if I could be strong and look cool like him, nothing would stand in my way.” Dahlia smiled. She truly did wish to be like Simon. As the most powerful person she had very seen, Dahlia naturally wanted to take after him in that aspect and not make him embarrassed.

”Don't worry, just train hard and dad will love you regardless of the result. You're his little ray of sunshine.” Malece poked Dahlia's nose and warmly smiled.

”Even if I am weak?”

”Even if you're weak. Your dad will always love you and protect you. He only wishes that you will become strong so you can become great too.”

”Dad is so cool! When I grow up, I'm going to be as good as dad!”

The night came and went. Another day came and training began as usual. Yu Lu and Shu's departure had put pressure on the remaining disciples, pushing them to train extra hard.

After the end of another week, the group felt like they were more or less ready to leave on their next great adventure. For however long that may take, they would be willing to go. If it meant learning new things and becoming stronger to make their master proud, the experience would be more than worth it.

This event would be the prelude to a war that blazed through the cultivation world. In many places throughout that higher realm, they would tell of the tale so heaven defying that thunder refused to strike. The group may not know it now, but they will witness it in the future.

A group of war gods that descended from the heavens to cleanse the world of evil. They declared war on the enemies of their master and destroyed anything that d.e.s.i.r.ed to do evil. More or less, the legend would end with a trail of blood. The masses and the immortals could only worship, watching as the war gods disappeared from the realm as suddenly as they appeared. Similar to their master.

However, for now, the disciples, Blood Guardians, and Simon's family were on the other side of the portal. They had not yet crossed into that realm of myths and legends. They were merely above average… for now.

”Jack, you ready?” Tyrone jumped in the same spot, ready to move.

”As always, Ty.” Jack fist bumped Tyrone and also started warming up.

”Simz, you going to come with us?” Michelle, Sienna and Sam were huddled in a tight group. Simon did not bother answering and quickly made his way to the group. Something about strength in numbers appealed to him.

”Hey, Mu. You, me and James should form a group.” Mark walked up to Mu and went in for a bro hug.

”Yep, I'm up for it.”

”Let's do this.”
