187 The Resolve (2/2)
She let out a deep breath. ”I'm sorry that I got mad at you when you were just trying to help me. I don't know what came over me, but I didn't mean those words, especially since I know what your intent was. I was just taken aback and nervous-”
”- Can you please forgive me?” she continued with a pitiful look in her eyes.
He a.n.a.lyzed her face before nodding. Eunha was an open book and he could read her very clearly. She was being genuine and really reflecting on what she said.
He wasn't going to lie. Normally when they fought, he would just get mad and annoyed. These feelings would easily subside sooner or later. However, this time he was genuinely hurt.
But he was glad to be able to hear these words.
Eunha wasn't the type to give out heartfelt apologize so easily.
”What you did was pretty s.h.i.+t,” he replied. ”I was just helping you out because he was being rude. You reflected your anger on me.”
Eunha nodded. ”I know. I was a b.i.t.c.h.”

”Yeah. A real b.i.t.c.h,” he said in agreement. And then to her surprise, his expression softened. ”But I forgive you.”
Eunha's eyes widened. ”Really?”
She didn't expect for him to forgive her this easily. Nothing came easy when it came to Lucas. She thought she would have to convince him through food.
Now the flier felt awkward in her hand.
”Yeah it's okay,” he said. ”I'm over it now.”
The feeling of relief washed over Eunha's body. This was great! To think that she had been worrying for ages over something that could be resolved so easily. It was as if someone took a huge load off her shoulders.
She didn't know what changed Lucas but she was very happy!
Eunha's usual giddy smile filled her face. ”To make it up to you. Do you want to eat lunch together? I'll pay.”
He lifted an eyebrow. ”That's surprising.”
”What is?” She asked while c.o.c.king her head.
”That you would ask to go out to eat with me. Alone.”
The sa.s.siness came back to her. ”It's to apologize duh.”
Lucas rolled his eyes. ”I know. But still. You didn't need to.”
He glanced over at the flier in her hand, reading the restaurant's name. Since he was always looking at the new up-and-coming destinations, he recognized where she wanted to take him.
”Also, I'll pay for my own stuff. I wanted to go there anyways.”
Eunha pursed her lips. ”Are you sure?”
”Yeah, let's go.”
A smile filled her face. ”Okay!”
