Finally ! After evil doings in the last two chapters we get a glimpse of what is really going on in JYN’s mind. Except for Krina and Liera I think all of us started hating JYN, but here he looks a bit sad !
Chapter 58
The situation was quite volatile in the morning.
The shareholder’s meeting was originally supposed to start at 10 but was delayed.
Jiang Shi Jun , who was supposed to be sitting victoriously in the Xu building was now in the Li Bo office, and he was furious.
In his hands he was holding the contract that Jiang Yu Nan had just brought
Jiang Shi Jun was more and more incredulous as he read the contract. As he finished reading it, he sound not help but mercilessly bang the contract on his desk.
At the same time, he stood to from the desk, and with a trembling finger pointed at the signatures on the last page of the contract.
Jiang Yu Nan and Yan Liang had both signed the contract and stamped their seals. Angrily, Jiang Shi Jun asked, “ How could you sign this contract?”
“This is ridiculous ! “ Jiang Shi Jun could not even laugh. “ No wonder yesterday you suddenly stopped the attacks in the share market and the media suddenly started broadcasting the news of your impending wedding reception. I did think something was fishy but then I thought …”
Jiang Yu Nan was sitting in a chair in the opposite side of the desk. The office had a heated , angry atmosphere , but he did not move. With his arms crossed, he reckoned back slightly to look at Jiang Shi Jun. “ I just came to inform you that I have signed this contract, that’s all.”
It was clear Jiang Yu Nan thought that any further explanation was unnecessary.
Hearing him, Jiang Shi Jun shook his head, “ This was not our original plan.”
Jiang Yu Nan only pressed his lips together , but did not answer.
At this point , Jiang Shi Jun had no other power but to appeal to him earnestly. “ I spread the fake news earlier that we were planning to transfer our target to the smaller shareholders and get their power of attorney so as to divert her attention from the larger shareholders. All her funds would be stuck and would weaken her competitiveness. And , of course, she could no longer hinder our acquisition of the stock from larger shareholders. I obviously need to use the major shareholders to kick her out of Xu. What is this contract right now?”
“……” “…”
“Even the old folks on the board, her supposed allies, have changed sides. After today’s meeting, the Xu house is finished. And then you do something like this, isn’t it equivalent to providing her a way out ?”
“ That was your plan.” Jiang Yu Nan’s time dad relaxed. Apparently he had no intention to continue on this topic. He stood up, adjusted his collar out of whet habit and looked up at Jiang Shi Jun , smiling expansively, “ From today, we will follow my plan..”
He walked towards the door.

“ What is your plan ? Make a contract for a happy marriage ? Yu Nan, when I gave you the authority to make decisions, I did not expect you to make such a mess!”
Jiang Yu Nan turned a deaf ear to his berating and continued walking, Jiang Shi Jun stood and watched him walk further and further away
He was still in a trance, trying to understand what happened, “ Are you doing this now to punish me for telling you about the affair between her and Lu Zheng ?”
Jiang Yu Nan paused.
His subtle hesitation raised Jiang Shi Jun’s hopes. “ Or do you think that if so this last act of kindness, you will regain something ? Although you were kept in the dark when I used Xu Ziqing to spread false news and did all those other things that followed, don’t forget..the stock market manipulations were your masterpiece. “
“……” “…”
“ So you think that if you force her to surrender to you, rather than forcing her to die, she will be grateful to you ?”
Jiang Yu Nan’s back was to him so he could not decipher the slightest emotion. Only his hands hanging by his side stiffened slightly.
This young man with a deep heart was still maintaining a calm façade. Jiang Shi Jun tried his last attempt to stir some emotions in him, “ It seems that you are not aware how hard hearted women can be. As long as you love them, they will find a thousand ways to torture you.”

This last attempt was the last straw on the camel’s back. It tilted the whole balance; Jiang Yu Nan could hear something collapsing.
But the words that issued from his voice were still calm and indifferent. He wasn’t deceiving himself anymore and he wanted to make that clear. “ On that matter between her and Lu Zheng, I don’t blame you. On the contrary , I am grateful to you for reminding me that I am a person…”

H seemed to laugh as the last traces of hope left his eyes, bit by bit,
“ ..who doesn’t deserve love.”

Xu Building.
As Yan Liang and Jiang Shi Jun were both absent, the shareholders meeting was postponed to 11. Was the meeting going to be canceled or delayed once again? Nobody knew the answer.
The shareholders were looking at their watched and muttering to each other.
Some people really did not want to wait. There were grumbles across the room , “ When are we going to start ?”
The words were just out when the door was opened.
Jiang Shi Jun’s assistant opened the door .
The first one to enter was a dour faced Jiang Shi Jun.
The two directors sitting near the door silently questioned each other as they looked at Jiang Shi Jun’s expression.
Both raised their eyebrows, then looked at the door as Yan Liang entered. Their hearts sunk.
Because one of them was Chen Shu, the erstwhile ally of the Xu family. It was true what they said.. there were no eternal friends, no eternal enemies, just eternal self interest..
Two rivals entered at the same time, the audience was silent g.
Jiang Shi Jun stood at the front. His eyes swept the assembled audience with a “king of the world attitude.” Then he turned his head towards Yan Liang and said, “ You say it.”
The viciousness under the calm appearance was evident. The only reason he had given her the right to speak was so she would be humiliated in front of everyone and the Xu’s dignity would be torn to shreds.
Yan Liang looked at the crowd, then at Jiang Shi Jun. She took a step back from her empty seat at the table, clearly showing the traits of one who was being humiliated. Her hands and feet were ice cold .
“ As a representative of my deceased father, Xu Jin fu and my mother, the temporary chairman of the board, I would like to announce that my mother is giving up the chairman’s seat. We would like to recommend the name of …Jiang Shi Jun…..”. Yan Liang stopped, took a deep breath and closed her eyes as she calmed down the last traces of her struggle , “ … as the next chairman of Xu.”
