Adopting Allen further infuriated Aleshia.

Since he wanted to buy a Beginner Mage Spell, Aleshia led him to a black market. It was an illegal establishment that only lasts for a year and caught visitors are jailed by the kingdom.

Taking advantage of this fact, she forced him to sign a blood contract that would be in her favor. If he didn't sign it, she would report to the kingdom that he visited a Black Market.

With no other choice, Lawrend signed the blood contract. In the terms of the contract, he would help save Aleshia's little sister after their journey, provide them their own house, and he was forbidden from touching Aleshia's body.

If he violated any of these terms, he would die by bleeding to death in all of his orifices.

After that, Lawrend was pretty bumped throughout the journey. He felt stupid and annoyed that she tricked him.

He opened the Beginner Mage Spell ”Shock Arc” he bought from the Black Market and practiced it. Its great power baffled and scared Aleshia, so she didn't annoy him that much.

Then the two of them encountered a group of goblins that ambushed them. In this fight, Lawrend wasn't able to fight against the goblins as there were too many.

Aleshia knew that she also couldn't fight against them head on as she was just an assassin. She teamed up with Lawrend and she used her assassin techniques to incapacitate the goblins.

After that, they piled the goblins on a pile, and Lawrend used his Shock Arc on them.

The Shock Arc was a very powerful single target spell. It created a powerful purple arc of lightning that burst the bodies of the goblins and created a shower of blood and gore.

The falling body parts reminded Lawrend of human children and realizing that he took a life, he went berserk and broke down before falling unconscious.
