19 Merger 2 (1/2)
”Grant! Get in here!” A gruff voice called out.
Ci-ci snapped out of it, looking toward a corner office in the distance. With a sigh, he calmly walked down the hall, weaving through the poor law clerks running around like little chicks without their heads.
”Hey, handsome.”
Ci-ci turned, letting his eyes linger on the seductively dressed secretary sitting outside of the large corner office.
She was a middle-aged woman, exuding a mature charm. Everything from her delicate brown skin, to her hazel eyes and skin-tight floral blouse and short skirt, was tempting beyond belief.
That said, this woman was definitely a mother figure of the 75th floor. Most of the time, she was the mother figure of the entire firm. Still, one couldn't help but drool when looking at her.
”Looking as beautiful as ever, Aesha.”
Aesha's ample chest rippled as she giggle lightly. ”One of those new little clerks tried to take a swipe at me earlier.” She said in a teasing, yet slightly threatening tone.
”Poor soul. You didn't treat him too badly, did you?”
”Let's just say he's buried in paperwork.”
”Good. That'll teach him to try and take advantage of my woman.”
”Tsk tsk, what would Milana think if she heard you say this? She's too adorable, I don't want to be a home wrecker.” Aesha pouted, looking up at Ci-ci with her watery eyes.
Ci-ci grinned. ”I have enough love for the both of you.”
Aesha snorted. ”You should get in there. It's actually quite serious this time.”
”What's going on?”
Aesha sighed, ”You're probably the only one who could get away with having such a low number of billable hours. If you weren't so good, you would have been fired a thousand times over.
”It's been a whirlwind ever since this morning. There's a major merger happening and it's quite possible that we could lose one of our prime clients to Clarke and Buffett.”
”Oh?” Ci-ci sunk into a pensive look.
