What should he do? After discovering what kind of party he had joined, Fatty couldn’t help but feel frustrated.
While he was pondering over this problem, Death Knight Bookworm up ahead took a few steps forward and bumped into the dungeon storyline.
On the forest-shaded path, an Undead Thief NPC staggered not far away and ran over. While he ran toward the party, he shouted as loud as he could, “Help! Someone help me!”
The party of players cautiously took a few steps forward to receive the Thief NPC. Seemingly because he had seen someone appear, the Thief NPC was very relieved. In the end, before they could even approach him, a jet-black dagger suddenly appeared behind his back and pierced him!
The Thief NPC suffered serious injuries and cried out. He fell in front of Fatty’s team and three figures emerged.
It was three Human Thieves!
These were enemies in the dungeon. No one cared about the unlucky Thief NPC. Instead, they all hurriedly prepared themselves for battle.
This was their first battle after entering the dungeon. Fatty also planned to observe the level of this party.
As the Death Knight of the party, Bookworm was naturally the one meant to resist the enemy. He shouted nervously, “I’m starting!” Then, before the other players could respond, he directly rushed toward one of the Human Thieves.
Upon seeing this, Fatty couldn’t help but sigh. Big Brother… The three Human Thieves didn’t budge, so why are you so excited!? Aren’t you going to ask whether your party members will stand in place and get prepared?
Except for the Death Knight Bookworm, both Dark Mage Smoking Without Fire and Pyromancer Playing With Fire stood in the middle. It didn’t matter that Fatty’s Venomancer was behind, but a DPS player like Thief Crayon Knife was also behind him!
Bookworm had been too nervous. He should have waited for Crayon Knife to stand with him and then should have started to kill the enemy when he could support him from the side…
Furthermore, there was another problem. Without knowing what the attacks of the three Human Thieves were, a melee class player had tried to resist against the enemy rashly. That was simply suicide! A range class player should have drawn one over to test the monster’s level and attack power before they made a plan…
They couldn’t take this lightly just because this was a novice dungeon. Small details seemed like nothing but were necessary for the party’s success!
Fatty had seen the level of this party through a small detail. Despite Bookworm’s mistake, Smoking Without Fire, who was the party leader, had not even noticed it. Instead, he shouted excitedly to make everyone start the attack.
Excluding Fatty, the other three players were also excited. They were probably excited because this was their first time clearing a dungeon! It was not hard to see that judging from their hasty entry…
After sighing quietly, Fatty could only follow everyone else. He lifted his hand to use the Level 2 Corrosion and a ball of green flare shot out of his staff before it reached the Human Thief that Bookworm was attacking!
At Level 12, Fatty had been able to upgrade the level of the Corrosion Skill with 30 Bronze Coins so that he could be more useful in the dungeon.
The Level 2 Corrosion Skill reduced the target’s Physical Armor by 4 points and could be stacked three times, which meant that its maximum was 12 points. However, after Fatty used the Corrosion on the Human Thief, he used the Miasma Skill.
These Human Thieves were the monsters of the Gerov Bandit Camp. As thieves, they had low defense and HP. Hence, using Corrosion once was enough. More than that would be a waste.
Bookworm’s mistake while drawing the monster’s attention had taken effect. The three Human Thieves surrounded and attacked him. Even a heavy-armored class like the Death Knight could not deal with that.
Bookworm was a Level 13 Death Knight. Based on every point added to his Strength and Constitution level, he had 26 Constitution Points. Along with his starting 3 Constitution Points, his HP should be 290. If a Human Thief attacked him once, they would reduce his HP by 10 to 12. If three Thieves attacked him once, more than 30 HP would be gone. According to this calculation, Bookworm could only endure 10 rounds of this attack.
