Back at Ru's place, Ru came out of the kitchen, while she had an exhausted look. The remote was grabbed by her hand. Then, she turned on the flatscreen tv,
”Phew, let's see what's on the news...”.
Thereupon, the screen showed a live footage of the colossal penguin towering above the clouds. It had the crooked and sharp fangs of a treacherous sea monster. Moreover, the upright bird looked-like it was unearthed from the deathly abyss, as its whole body had chaotic hues of black and white mixed in chaos. Down below, its back had protruding black spikes, seeped in bloody crimson. Lastly, its eyes were glaring red, as it was driven into nothing but, mere bloodlust. Although, it looked extremely weird since it's just a gigantic penguin lost in a desert. While the monster was being observed from above, one of the emcees said as if he was awestrucked,
”Would ya look at that folks! Guess someone ordered a giant penguin!”.
There after, he made a wild guess, pinpointing at someone notable,
”Maybe it's not yet satisfied of slapping a USELESS GEL GODDESS!”.
As for the other female emcee, she made an awkward smile,
”Uh Jack?”.
Though, the male emcee just told his own name once again,
”It's McRiley...”.
Then, the female emcee just replied back,
Ah yes, about that monster, it's not included in the event...”.
The male emcee looked surprised at first but, he just told with a confident smile,
”Oh...well that's all for today folks!”.
Suddenly, the channel went white. A little while later, it had shown a serious-looking news reporter on her desk, while there was a live video of the penguin monster behind her.
”This just in...a gigantic abyss PENGUIN monster was let on the loose and nobody knows where it came from. And yes, this is not included in the annual racing event...On the flipside...it's still cute!”.
Then, the channel went blank. As the said deities, heroes, and heroines saw the urgent and bizarre news, they were all filled with skeptic looks. More than that, doubtful rumors were spreading amongst them, regarding the bizarre incident. While for Otorine, Yumine, Shunya, Amora, and Miro they made seedy-looks, as their eyes couldn't believe of what they had seen.
”A giant PENGUIN monster in a desert? That's original...but, downright bizarre...Is HE going nuts?”,
Yumine expressed, rolling her eyes down. Goddess Queen Weissia had also witnessed the news, although she didn't worry llike the others. Instead, she was composed as ever. She just closed her eyes and she was engrossed in her thoughts,
”A penguin monster but, it looked-like it was mutated somehow...”.
Then, she took another bite of her ice cream. The atmosphere around the place was getting tense, as the people inside were having worries, and rising suspicions. Sadly, Weissia didn't act yet, as she just continued to eat her meal. Although, her mind was already analyzing the new incident, somehow. Sooner or later, Lilieth came in. Strange thing is, her very sights noticed that everyone was eating their own ice cream, turning her to be quite surprised and dumbfounded,
”Everyone has ice cream?”.
Soon, she went to Otorine and company's table. Yumine greeted Lilieth with a friendly smile,
”Hey there Lilieth!”.
Lilieth asked,
”It's a full house here and why does everyone here have ice cream on their tables?”.
Amora made a sarcastic smile and stared at Weissia from the distance,
”Well, SOMEONE treated everyone here some ice cream, so that she'll have her alone time, without anyone telling them that she's here.”.
While Lilieth was feeling that Amora was pointing someone out, Lilieth turned to look at through the distance as well. There, Lilieth witnessed that their almighty Goddess Queen Weissia was eating lots of ice cream. Moreover, Lilieth's eyes were noticing that Weissia's bunny ears were twitching with excitement, as she took each scoop of the ice cream. More than that, Weissia looked-like a happy teenage high-school girl who was too obsessed over ice cream. Thereon, Lilieth made her comment of what she had seen,
”Y-yeah, I could see that...”.
Although, she was concerned in her deep thoughts,
”Honestly, our Goddess Queen Weissia needs to be extra careful sometimes...”.
There after, Lilieth remembered something,
”Oh yeah, I almost forgot...”.
Then, she asked Otorine and company,
”Have you seen the unusual thing going-on in the news?”.
Otorine replied,
”The adorable penguin monster?”.
Lilieth nodded and she told more regarding the monster Otorine had said,
”Yes that but wait...you see it cute? What the? Nevermind...guess what...it's also infused with—.”.
Then, Weissia butted-in,
”Powers of Distortion.”.
Otorine and company noticed that Goddess Queen Weissia was already behind Lilieth. Lilieth didn't continue her statement, since she agreed of what Weissia had told,
”Yes, as our majesty just said...”.
Yumine, Amora, Shunya, and Miro felt a cold breeze and they were all frustrated, as they've heard that horrid term once again. As for Otorine, she made a her chin and she was intrigued in her thoughts,
”So our Goddess Queen Weissia knows about this as well...”.
The others noticed that Weissia's composure returned in which they sensed that Weissia was aware of what was going on. Not only that, she had her arms crossed. Although, everybody felt tense as well, since their Goddess Queen got involved. As for Shunya, she tried to break the chilling air by greeting casually at their Goddess Queen,
”Hello there our Goddess Queen Weissia! And thanks for the free ice cream!”.
Weissia nodded, as she returned the favor. Lilieth felt quite envious of the others having ice cream, so she asked with added flattery and plea to their Goddess Queen Weissia before them,
”Ooooh...and can I have an ice cream treat too, OUR GLORIOUS AND MOST FANTASTIC GODDESS QUEEN WEISSIA?”.
Weissia just made a huge sigh, as she heard the over the top flattery from Lilieth just to get some free ice cream. Although, Weissia just agreed to Lilieth's demands,
”Sigh, okay...”.
While for Otorine, she remembered that young Nassus was currently in the race. In turn, she was filled with immense worry, since the distorted monster could pose grievous danger to her adorable Nassus,
”I hope Nassus would be alright...”.
On the other hand, in little Nassus's situation, he was still mounted on the dragon, as he was still racing along the arid skies. Through the short distance, his senses were clearly seeing the gigantic upright bird monster that came from the cold abyss.
”Cute penguin?”,
he said. While for the twins who were on the lead, they felt pissed, as they had seen the malicious and putrid form of the gargantuan penguin,
”Tch! I didn't order to fight a stupid penguin! I'm outta here!”.
Then, his twin brother agreed as well,
”Same here brother!”.
Afterwards, the two champions brought out their azure magic transfer cards. The next moment, they were shrouded in a curtain of rainbow lights. Then, they had vanished from the area, along with their golden dragons. The other divine competitors noticed that the two champions had forfeited, so they did too as well. It seemed the competitors don't want to fight or even struggle against an unfamiliar monster. Yeah, they're powerful deities alright. Sadly, the youthful Nassus doesn't have an enchanted transfer card. Since, he was transferred by the other deities handling the event. More than that, it seemed they're not returning soon. In turn, he can't return back to Celestia Heavens on his own for now. Thereupon, Nassus and his jade dragon were the only ones left, so they had to continue the strange race on their own, regardless of what happens. As he was still racing along the skies and getting near the monster, the dragon spoke to him,
”Hey kiddo...it seems we're in a tight spot...”.
Little Nassus nodded. Then, the dragon said more,
”Listen, I suck at fighting but, I can dodge and move away fast if you guide me, just steer me like you always do. Although you suck at speeding me up. Ugh, this is the first time I've ended up in last place.”.
Nassus didn't mind the latter unnecessary comment of the dragon and he just made a determined look,
