As Weissia was still shocked over the fact that her cover was blown, her elbow accidentally touched the power button of a tv remote. In turn, the flatscreen tv hanging on the wall had turned on. The screen showed a live event going-on about the dragon racing event, while there was a grandiose series of sounding trumpets. Even though, the place was a barren desert, the ambiance around the area was very intense. Since, the racers were all lined up at the starting line while they were, mounted on various dragons. Not only that, there was an audience of deities at the sides who were sitting on floating bench-warmers. The next moment, the screen showed the male and female emcees who were sitting near to each other. The male MC who was wearing goggles said with a lively tone and gesture,
”It's that time of the year again, ladies and gents! And I'm your deity host, McRiley.”. To my left side is another Goddess emcee and her name is Thereza.”.
Then, the female emcee who had a huge amount of make up on her face continued the conversation,
”Yes, thank you for that Joe...”.
The male emcee made an awkward smile, since she mentioned a different name,
”Thereza, I'm not Joe though. The name's McRiley...”.
The female emcee replied,
”Oh sorry about that, force of rabbit...Oh and by the way, there's an interesting contender this time around and he's a little kid who goes by the name of—.”.
”NAAAASSSSSSUUUUUUUUSSSS!”,
as the male emcee shouted from his lungs out. The next moment, the live footage showed different angles of little Nassus mounted on a green dragon. More so, it was the same dragon that Otorine, Yumine, and Ira had met before, during their previous travels. In turn, Otorine, Yumine, Shunya, and Amora were all widely surprised of what they had seen,
”EEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHH?!”.
As Miro noticed that Otorine and company were all shocked of seeing Nassus participating the race, Miro just scratched his head. Not only that, he was deeply convinced in his thoughts,
”I guess Ori and Yumi knew about it now...”.
He looked around and noticed that there were bustling with lots of various people now, turning him to be absorbed in his thoughts,
”I never thought, there would be a lot of people here...”.
Though, he had second thoughts and asked himself,
”Wait...why is the Goddess Queen here?”.
Miro saw the immense amount of ice cream dishes on Weissia's table. He closed his eyes and he was convinced that the Goddess Queen has a huge obsession over ice cream. As he opened his eyes again, Aron's intimidating look was already in front of him. There after, Aron reprimanded him,
”Oi DOG! Calm your tits...”.
Afterwards, Aron shouted at him more,
”And show respect to US, Gods, and Goddesses, especially to our Goddess Queen Weissia before you!”.
Then, Aron pointed at Weissia who was still frozen in shock. As Miro was scolded deaf-defyingly, he felt a cold shoulder and he was ashamed of himself. He bowed down and said profusely,
”Sorry for making a scene, especially to you Goddess Queen Weissia.”.
The air was heavy as Weissia didn't respond. Though, soon enough, she had stopped worrying over her previous blunder. She composed herself and she said to Miro,
”It's alright, Fallen Miro...”.
Everyone were able to breathe out afterwards. Miro asked politely,
”Also, ummm please excuse me...”.
Then, he went to Otorine and her company's table. As Otorine, Yumine, Shunya, and Amora saw Miro standing next to their table, they've made suspicious looks. Since, Otorine, Yumine, Shunya, and Amora still can't rid of the fact that the innocent-looking Nassus joined the racing event. There after, Yumine interrogated Miro straight,
”So, can you explain to us on why did Nassus join the dragon racing event, hm?”.
Miro made an awkward smile and he scratched the back of his head,
”Ummmm, how should I say this...”.
Miro sighed, as he was guilty for not keeping an eye of Nassus that much. Sooner or later, Miro told and expressed his flashback with the little Nassus. His flashback was filled with vivid detail and even the tiniest spec of information.
In Miro's flashback, Miro and little Nassus were at an outdoor coffee shop that had a tropical theme and setting, as their orange table had a huge ochre umbrella. Also, they were sitting on the orange metal chairs. Miro was noticing that the young Nassus was swaying his legs that weren't able to touch the ground. Not only that, the youthful Nassus was expressing a radiant smile such as he was a happy little kid. Thereon, Miro caressed the kid's head like a dog and Miro assumed,
”I guess you're happy now huh...Nassus? Since you'll see Ori in action.”.
Young Nassus nodded with excitement in his eyes. Suddenly, Miro and little Nassus heard a boastful male voice from behind,
”Ho-hoh? Did I just hear the name, Nassus?”.
Then, another guy said,
”One of the Notorious 8?”.
Miro felt cautious, as the air between the two males from behind were very unnatural. Not only that, the atmosphere felt cold. It seemed the two males behind had the air of powerful deities in which Miro shouldn't mess around with. In turn, Miro just ignored their insults. Although, the two males who had identical looks but, different eye colors approached Miro and little Nassus.
”What do you two want?”,
Miro asked with a cold a stare. Although, they just ignored Miro and they kept on dissing the innocent-looking Nassus instead,
”To think a MERE FALLEN was given a special privilege just cuz he's an adowable kwid nwow...”.
Miro was witnessing that little Nassus wasn't liking their treatment. Although, Miro just signaled to the young Nassus that he shouldn't fight back, as it could make things much worse. Thereupon, the male twins just continued to mistreat the little Nassus through their words. The next moment, one of the bastard twins grabbed young Nassus's sleeve and raised him up. Next, he shouted at the poor kid,
”You think you're special huh, kid!”.
Then, he spitted on little Nassus's face. Though, little Nassus just looked away and didn't fight back, even though they were already bullying him. Since, Miro told him to do so. In turn, they just continued to insult the poor kid,
”Awwww, are you gonna call your BIG SIS or ONEE-CHAN now to fight your battles for you?”.
”HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”,
the twins laughed. As little Nassus heard that over-the top insult, he became furious and wanted to punch the bullying deities. Although, he just controlled his anger, as he remembered of what Miro signaled him before. Since, it could break out something much worse. A few minutes later, they were done with their insults and they put the little Nassus down to his chair. Then, they said their final words close to his face that oozed of deep terror,
”Oh yeah, If you wanna prove to us that you're not just a SPOILED BRAT...Why don't ya beat us at the ANNUAL DRAGON RACING EVENT!”.
Next, the other guy said that sounded from the depths of hell,
”Heck, can you even handle a dragon in your TINY BODY? But we warn you, if you ever lost...we're gonna have a FUN TIME with your ORI ONEE-CHAN.”.
Afterwards, the disrespectful and haughty twins left the place, while they were still laughing their *ss off. Miro just sighed, as that uncomfortable incident had come to pass without any complications. Soon, he was deep in his thoughts,
”I never thought that there would be some numbers of rude deities here...”.
