They flew for a long time before they finally exited the cold mist and arrived at an enchanting place.

The bubbles burst the moment they exited the place. It was a good thing that they reacted quickly and steadied themselves immediately, saving themselves from tumbling down.

They continued their journey forward and flew past a large forest. Then, they followed a stream. The stream was filled with lotuses, similar to the one on her back.

They followed the river into a mountain and arrived at the foot of it. Chan Jiu then brought them down, “You cannot fly in the later parts, you can only walk.”

Sima You Yue raised her head and looked at the mountain that stretched into the sky, saying, “Is this the Ninth Underworld Mountain?”

“Yes.”

“Just looking at this mountain fills you with reverence. It’s no wonder it’s the Ninth Underworld Mountain!” Fei Yi looked at the Ninth Underworld Mountain with deep respect.

This was the place where the real Rulers of the Ghost Realm lived, and it carried concrete details about the ancient times. It filled their hearts with awe.

“Let’s go. Sovereign is waiting.” Chan Jiu said as he walked to the front. Those who had gone out with him dispersed now, and they all went to do their own things.

They walked halfway up the mountain and spiraled up the back of the mountain where they saw many houses built on it.

Chan Jiu brought them to the house that was on the highest level, and the journey there was extremely silent. It was as if nobody lived in those houses at all.

“Everyone is usually cultivating or busy dealing with their own matters.” Chan Jiu explained.

Sima You Yue glanced at him and realised that, although this guy was usually aloof, his heart was still in the right place.

They arrived at the main palace where the palace maids that were standing guard outside bowed to Chan Jiu, saying, “Right Emissary, Sovereign has said for you to lead them inside. Except for Young Miss alone, the others please follow me.”

Sima You Yue nodded at them, and they left with the palace maid.

The other palace maid brought them in. Sima You Yue subtly appraised the place. It was imposing and simple.

In the main hall, there was a black-robed lady who was burning incense. When she smelled its fragrance, she completely relaxed.

The lady could sense Sima You Yue appraising her and she lifted her head to glance at her.

Sima You Yue finally knew who her Mother had inherited her looks from. The person in front of her looked a quarter like herself, but her makeup and arrogant gaze reduced their likeness by half. If you didn’t look closely, you wouldn’t be able to see their similarities.

“Sovereign, Right Emissary and Young Miss have come.” The servant girl said.

“Greetings, Sovereign. Those on the outside have already been dealt with.” Chan Jiu said.

“It’s been hard on you, Right Emissary.” Chan Shan said. His voice was clear and arrogant. It was similar to the languid and willful way Feng Ru Yan spoke.

“It was my duty.” Chan Jiu replied before taking one step backwards.

“Sima You Yue, you should know who I am?” Chan Shan asked as she looked at Sima You Yue.

“You should be my Maternal Grandmother. You Yue greets Grandmother.” Sima You Yue said as she took a bow.

“I didn’t think that you would be able to activate the power of your bloodline when your Mother couldn’t.” Chan Shan beckoned to her, “Child, show me your black lotus.”

Sima You Yue walked over, and Chan Shan looked at the servant girl standing by the side. She pulled a screen over, keeping Chan Jiu outside.

Sima You Yue hesitated for a moment, before she began to undress, revealing her back.
