22 My instincts could be hard to contain. (1/2)
My big eyes met with his calm face and in a matter of seconds he seemed to figure out what I was thinking.
”Are you scared of me now that you know i'm in the underground business?”
His voice hinted that if I was against it there was nothing I could do.
I sighed.
Not because I was afraid of him and now I knew I wouldn't be able to get away.
But because I wasn't afraid of him.
Which kind of gave me a weird feeling. I mean as soon as I heard that Zhang Yong was in the business I thought of him as a killer and was scared.
But why wasn't I scared of the man in front of me?
I mean he could probably throw me out the window without second thought but I wasn't even scared.
No.
I wasn't scared because I knew he wouldn't.
I looked up at him with a smile on my face and shook my from side to side. Then I wrapped my arms around his waist not breaking the eye contact. I can't believe I never really noticed but he smells really good.
He looked down at me as he wrapped his arms around me too in a loving manner. Then he smiled.
It made sense why he called himself art. Even if I would never actually tell him that.
”Haley, you're making it hard to control the things I do.”
