3 I guess i’ll have to make it more clear then. (1/2)
Everyone including me stood up to bow to the CEO.
”What are you doing here sir?” one of the girls at the dinner asked in a slighting confused and worried tone.
”What? Am I not allowed to join the company parties?” he said with a hint of arrogance.
”Oh, yes sir of course you can.”
There were a few chairs open but the one closest was right across from Li Qiang and he immediately sat there.
”Hello sir!” Li Qiang said in an excited tone.
Despite Li Qiang being cheery the CEO gave him a dead look and didn't reply. But that was pretty normal for our boss.
Me and Li Qiang continued to talk.
”So do you like the company so far Haley?”
”Yeah most people have been super nice and it's fun. Oh but I was meaning to ask you how long have you worked at the company Li Qiang. It couldn't have been long you don't look that much older than me.”
”Call me Qiang please. It sounds weird if you say my whole name.” he said while laughing then continued ”I'm 23 so I've been working at the company for 3 years now.”
”woah your three years older than me I thought it was only a year, you look so so young.” I said in a very shocked tone because he really did look so young.
He suddenly leaned closer to me and said in my ear.
”Wow, with that reaction I would assume I was much older.” he laughed a bit before pulling away from my face which was only inches apart from his. I laughed a little at his joke. And before we continued talking I felt someone's eyes on me.
I looked over and saw the CEO with a deathly look on his face while downing shots of alcohol one after another.
I did research before about him so I wouldn't be surprised about anything at my new job. And one thing that was very clear was that the CEO had a very low tolerance for alcohol. He could barely drink half a shot without getting drunk. But there he was downing at least 10 shots and still continuing.
”Sir! What are you doing you know your tolerance for alcohol is extremely low.”
He already looked very very out of it as I took the shot from his hand. I stood up and told everyone ”Sorry I must take the CEO home so he doesn't pass out. I'm sorry but I had lots of fun I hope to do this again!”
