202 The Terramancer—Camus (1/2)
Silentdeath Jungle.
Fifteen well-equipped Demon Faction players were rushing forward grimly without wasting a second. Swiftly, they passed by one Malevolent Archdemon after another and other Darkshadow beings as if they were leaping dire wolves dashing into the forest depths.
All fifteen player's equipment were fit for a champion player. With such a strong team, even if they were on the Mythical Battlefield, there were hardly any opponents they could not go up against. However, one of the players had a sullen look on his face.
That player is the Twelve Zodiacs' Field Commander Saga. After facing defeat at the hands of the other party's commander Slayer's Heart yesterday, he was currently looking troubled but kept it to himself. Even as he rushed through the path with everyone, he kept a lookout, scanning through every bush and tree.
To be frank, he was currently in a foul mood…
He had been instantly killed by someone in close combat for the first time, not to mention he was under the support of four Elementalists.
From yesterday onward, he was constantly ridiculed by the other Field Commanders in the clan because of that—even Clan Leader Shaka was displeased with him…
Even though Clan Leader Shaka knew how strong Slayer's Heart was and was aware that Saga was weaker than Slayer's Heart, their opponents only amounted to ten people and they easily annihilated seventy-six of them. This caused their clan to lose 76 Honor Points and a bunch of equipment, and they even manage to take the Mutated Darkshadow Archdemon from them… causing Shaka who was planning to reach one million Honor Points to be greatly annoyed!
Not only that, when Shaka brought a team of Radiant Priest to support them, fourteen of their clan party's Elementalist brothers corpses were nowhere to be found for them to revive, causing them to lose a level!!
After suffering several losses consecutively, Shaka contacted several Fence Sitter parties from the Angel Faction without hesitation, demanding them to provide several clan party's information. At the same time, he mobilized several players to keep a lookout at Moonrise City's teleportation portal and city entrances for Slayer's Heart and his party.
After getting their information, Saga and more than twenty of his clan members were ready on standby while they were in Sector I of Mythical Battlefield hunting Angel Faction parties to recover the Honor Points from yesterday's losses. Once the location of Slayer's Heart's party was discovered, Shaka immediately summoned his troops—hundreds of elite players of Twelve Zodiacs spread like a wildfire through the Silentdeath Jungle searching for Slayer's Heart and his party. Saga's party was also summoned to join the hunt formation.
”… how bold of them to come here again!”
Saga was raging within as he was running, he could not wait to round them up and hunt them all down.
However deep down his mind, there was still a lingering doubt. Yet Saga could not understand why he was feeling nervous—it could have been due to the incredible speed and Magic Penetration effect showed by Slayer's Heart, instantly crushing his confidence. Or it could have been due to the Aquamancer's mysterious ability to come and go like a shadow, and his incredible Water Elementalism skills and lethality.
He could not deny that both of them troubled him greatly, causing him to feel threatened. Even with the presence of two Field Commander-level companions beside him, this strong fear did not dissipate...
This is too strange!
While he was contemplating, chaotic and frightened voices were heard from the special channel created from the clan channel.
”Come quickly! The target has been spotted! Coordinates are (xx, yy)!”
”F*ck, I just died!”
”Damn, me too! How did that Tier 4 Aquamancer notice us? I'm screwed!!”
The voices obviously belonged to a Bandit.
”How the heck would I know, the one who killed me was a freaking Bandit. F*ck, I can't believe I would be taken out by a Bandit... Argh!!! My weapon dropped! Faster come and help me bro!”
”So what! My Accessory dropped, it was a highest grade Beastkin Necklace which increases 200 HP!!”
It was absolute chaos in the party channel. Saga and his party on the other hand had a worried look. Without further delay, they immediately head toward the location coordinates announced in the party channel.
By the time they reached, there were only corpses littered around the field with no one in sight, all of their clan member's equipment were nowhere to be found.
”F*ck! Where are they?!”
”Damn it, they fled so fast!”
While they were cursing, another distress call for backup was made from the party channel which just died down…
It was the same situation which happened previously—another scout party was ambushed by Slayer's Heart party, instantly taking out all of them.
Saga finally reacted and immediately shouted in the channel for everyone nearby to head to the location immediately, ”Everyone in Silentdeath Jungle be on high alert—prepare to engage and encircle the location provided!”
Once his commands were given, another deep and serious voice was heard from the party channel.
”Saga, Mu, Camus. What is your current location?”
After the voice which just appeared, all the screaming and cursing in the channel immediately ceased. Only the Clan Leader and the three Field Commanders could be heard discussing…
”We have already reached nearby.”
