The rabbit was still recovering from the impact it had just suffered. With a quick leap, it wanted to run away, but its limbs felt as though they were entangled. It struggled a little. Soon, all of them witnessed something that completely blew their minds.

Countless tiny roots emerged and tightened around the body of the rabbit. The roots then bound deeply into its flesh. The roots then drank up the moisture in its flesh. The rabbit was dried out and mummified almost instantaneously.

Yan Chen was utterly shocked. Lan Yue was in disbelief too. ”Strange! The tree consumes living things!”

In the blink of an eye, the rabbit disappeared, leaving no traces of its flesh and bones behind. It was as though it was never there.

Yan Chen was still recovering from his shock, as he had not expected the tree to be so ferocious. If he made the first contact earlier, he would end up with the same fate as the rabbit.

The mussel felt sorry for its food. The rabbit was its storage. Before it had time to mourn for its dead rabbit, Gu Xijiu reached out to it and asked for more. ”Take the chicken out as well.”

The mussel did not know what to say. Gu Xijiu tapped on its shell lightly and comforted it, ”Listen to me. I will grill an entire lamb for you in the future.”

The mussel was immediately delighted.
