1675 Breaking The Formation (1/2)

Eagerly, it presented one of its hidden chickens to Gu Xijiu. ”Master, this is for you. Is one enough? If not, I still have one more.”

Gu Xijiu threw the chicken toward the tree right away.

The chicken seemed to have sensed the danger around it. When its claw touched the crown of the tree, it immediately spread its wings and sprang into the air.

It was all too late. The petals on the tree fluttered in the night breeze before wrapping the entire body of the chicken, and the hopeless prey stopped moving instantly.

A few moments later, the entangled petals dispersed into the air and fell back onto the tree. The chicken was nowhere to be seen.

It seemed that these petals fed on blood as well.

Lan Yue took a look at the twig of the plum flower in his hand. A shiver ran over his body, and he threw the flower away at once.

”This is the array formation of Spider Web in Bloody Plum.” A sudden voice emerged, taking Lan Yue by surprise. He turned around and saw Di Fuyi standing behind them. He was also looking at the plum tree fixedly.

Lan Yue was relieved to see him, as he had just wondered where the mighty man was. He did not expect his sudden emergence. He seemed to be working separately from Gu Xijiu.

Lan Yue's news was accurate, so he knew that Di Fuyi and Gu Xijiu had parted on separate ways and that their relationship had ended. Wisely, he chose not to ask anything related to their relationship.

”What do you know about the array formation of Spider Web in Bloody Plum?” Lan Yue was a very keen learner.

”Can you see the trails in the garden? They are not actually trails, but the gaseous pulse of the formation. After the bloody plum tree feeds on animal blood, it will draw nourishment from the center to the surrounding plum trees through the connecting pulse. Because of the bloody diet, the flowers are unusually bright-colored and beautiful. The rest of the plum trees will, in turn, absorb the essence of the sun and the moon. They will provide nutrients to the bloody plum tree to make it grow stronger.”
