Di Fuyi held onto her sleeve tightly. ”Don't be silly.”

”Screech!” There was a sound of clothes being ripped. It was Gu Xijiu's sleeves. She took a step back and answered icily, ”Di Fuyi, when did you become so protective over women? The plum garden is vast. It will be much faster if we search for them separately.”

”Are you still mad at me? I am not showing any bias towards Lan Jingyi. I have checked the traces along the way and am sure that someone has been controlling her. It is not her intention to kidnap Lan Waihu. She…”

”Haha! I understand. Don't worry. I will not harm her.” She interrupted him with a sneer. Having nothing more to talk about with him, she teleported and disappeared.

She remembered a quote from the modern era, saying how open-hearted and graceful it was for a modern couple to befriend each other one another after they broke up, even knowing the other half had betrayed them. They could even visit one another occasionally as if they were still close friends.

She felt that it was the right thing to do back then, but it all seemed like complete nonsense now.

If one could still forgive and treat his or her ex-lover like a friend even after a betrayal, it was surely not true love that they had been through.

In her case, she could never treat Di Fuyi as a friend ever again. It was either love or complete isolation from one another.
