1670 Why Didn’t You Say Anything Earlier? (1/2)
The snowflakes floated lightly in the air and fell gently on the petals of the plum flowers. The distinctive colors set each other off, making the reds more delightfully charming and the whites even more enchanting. The clusters of red flowers looked even more attractive in the night-light with the touch of white snow.
Gu Xijiu was not in the mood to enjoy the perfectly scenic view of red plum flowers in the snow. The pain was too much for her to bear.
”Are you on your period?” DI Fuyi held onto her wrist tightly to read her pulse.
”None of your business!” His hands were warm, but she was somewhat irritated by his touch, especially now that she was already frustrated by her discomfort.
She struggled, and finally, she broke free from his grasp. Groggily, she took a few quick steps backward and saw a green rock next to her. Without noticing if there was snow on the rock, she quickly sat on it.
Before she managed to sit, Di Fuyi was already holding her up, preventing her from sitting on the rock. ”The surface of the rock is cold! You cannot suffer from the cold at the moment.”
Then, he raised his arms and performed a spell to create a wizardry barrier. Within the bubble, there was a soft, fluffy wool blanket to keep her warm when she sat on it.
He took out a red pill and put it next to her mouth. ”Take the pill.”
Instinctively, Gu Xijiu was afraid of all the pills that were given by him. She turned her head around to avoid his hand. ”I… I have my own pills.”
She held on firmly despite the extreme pain and searched for the pills in her storage bag. She found one pale red pill and swallowed it.
The pill was supposed to make her warm. The evil effects of the cold must have affected her when she was in the underground waterway, which had further worsened her menstrual pain.
She wanted to meditate, but the extreme pain distracted her. She could not even sit well.
Her fingers were trembling when she wanted to perform the spell.
Di Fuyi grabbed her hands tightly and said, ”Sit well so that I can ease your pain.”
Gu Xijiu was still struggling to keep her distance.
