1416 Hush, Something Is Wrong With Him (1/2)

Li Mengxia drank the most among the group. She drank to the extent that her eyes were red and she could not even hold her glass properly. Meanwhile, Gu Xijiu's innate ability was relatively higher, so she was still very conscious.

Li Mengxia felt nauseas. Hence, Gu Xijiu quickly brought her to the washroom.

Long Siye's face was reddish as he sat there idly watching the glass in his hand.

After Li Mengxia had puked a few times, Gu Xijiu fed her a pill to ease her hangover. She shook her head and found herself feeling much better. She finally got a better vision of Gu Xijiu as she blinked her eyes. ”Wow! I can't believe that you're better than me at drinking… I've never lost to anyone!”

Gu Xijiu tapped her shoulder as she replied, ”Me too, it's just a coincidence.”

Li Mengxia refused to surrender. ”Let's compete again when we're free!”

”When we have the time.”

Again, Li Mengxia shook her head. ”You're right. There's chaos everywhere, and so we can't let drinking affect our mission. Strangely enough, I just wanted to have a sip. How did I drink that much?”

Gu Xijiu replied as she glimpsed at Li Mengxia, ”Your ability to control yourself is deteriorating.”

Li Mengxia was stunned for a short moment and regretfully shook her head. ”Perhaps. After all, I've been trying to escape for so long and have not eaten a good meal in a long time. It's hard for me to control myself now that I have gotten the chance to drink. Sigh, I would have been lectured if The Lord knew.”

Though the pill was very effective, it was only sufficient to keep her awake. The residues of the alcohol remained in her body. Hence, Li Mengxia swayed here and there when she walked.

It was not appropriate for them to rush back as Li Mengxia was unfit to travel. Hence, Gu Xijiu decided to stay in a hotel tonight and leave tomorrow. She told Li Mengxia about her decision, and it made Li Mengxia regret even more. ”The Lord wanted you to return tonight. However, we were forced to delay our departure because of me...”

Gu Xijiu did not care much about it. She looked at the directed audio spell at her waist and thought Di Fuyi must be very busy as she had not heard from him the whole day.

”Xijiu, why don't you send The Lord a message and tell him about the situation here so that he wouldn't get worried?” Li Mengxia suggested.

Gu Xijiu nodded and switched on the directed audio spell. However, there was no response. Had he entered a forbidden area again?

Gu Xijiu had been married to him for eight years. Hence, she knew him quite well. The directed audio spell would not work whenever he entered a forbidden area. He needed to meet many people this time, and there were many things for him to do. Hence, it was possible that he had entered a forbidden area. Therefore, Gu Xijiu was not upset though she could not reach him at the moment.

She returned to the room with Li Mengxia and saw Long Siye unconscious and leaning against the table. Had he fallen asleep?

Li Mengxia's finger tapped on the table in front of him. ”Hey, Overlord Long! Overlord Long, wake up!”

Long Siye moved a little and finally lifted his head. He looked slow-witted as his gaze was on both of the ladies. He then focused on Gu Xijiu, and he suddenly sat upright. He accidentally swept the glass that was in front of his arm onto the floor. ”Xijiu!” He screamed in shock.

Li Mengxia burst into laughter. ”What's so shocking? Are you a Narcolepsy patient? Have you forgotten the people who had drank with you?”

Long Siye slightly closed his eyes, and realized that everything was coming back to him when he opened his eyes again. He smiled awkwardly. ”Indeed, I must have had one too many drinks...”

His eyes rapidly glanced around the room before he rubbed his brows. ”I must have drunk too much and forgotten where we are now. Come on. We should drink more since we have just reunited!”

Li Mengxia shook her hand. ”No, I've had enough. I just threw up. I don't think I can take it anymore.”

Long Siye looked at Gu Xijiu. He looked blur as he was probably a little tipsy. ”Xijiu, shall we toast with a few more drinks? It has been many years since I last saw you. I have got a lot of things that I want to talk about.”

Gu Xijiu answered, ”It's very late. I'm tired...”

Long Siye got up from the chair. He must have had too many drinks as he almost tripped while getting up. He cursed himself underneath his breath. Gu Xijiu left a pill on his palm. ”I think you've drunk too much. Here you go. Take one first.”

Long Siye looked at the pill. It was round and shiny as it rolled in his palm. He narrowed his vision to focus on the pill. ”This is a grade seven pill!” His eyes were filled with surprise as he glimpsed at Gu Xijiu.

Li Mengxia smiled. ”Are you shocked? Xijiu can now make grade eight pills too. She is…”

However, she did not finish her sentence as Gu Xijiu suddenly sent her an audio message. ”Hush, something is wrong with him.”

Li Mengxia was slightly stunned, and she stopped talking. However, Long Siye was very keen to know what it was that Li Mengxia was about to tell him. ”What's is it?”

Li Mengxia was quick-witted and quickly tried switching topics. She suddenly rubbed her brow. ”Ouch! I seem to have gotten a headache! The hangover is horrible…”

She then leaned onto Gu Xijiu. ”Xijiu, I feel dizzy…”

Long Siye, who was standing behind them, was suddenly enlightened and quickly walked beside them. ”The hotel beside the restaurant is quite good. Let me bring you there. I think I need a room for myself as I feel a little dizzy too.”

Gu Xijiu stopped him. ”Three is too many. I can stay with Mengxia in the same room, and we can take care of each other.”

Their rooms were just next to each other. Long Siye went into his room while Gu Xijiu entered her room with Li Mengxia.

Li Mengxia immediately straightened her body right after they went into the room. She wanted to ask Gu Xijiu all sort of questions. ”Xijiu…”

Gu Xijiu quickly placed a finger to her lips and sent her a message at the same time. ”Hush, someone might be listening.”

Li Mengxia blinked her eyes. As the chief master of Anying Association, she was a smart person. She immediately changed the subject. ”Xijiu, I'm sleepy. I'm going to bed first.”
