The prison was not too big, so the area was definitely confined within three miles. She should be able to sense her presence if Wu Qianyan was held captive here.
Had the Monster King concealed Qianyan's aura? Or was she even in the prison at all to begin with? If she could not find her here, the only way left for her to find her servant was to raid the execution ground.
”Mister, this way please.” Gu Xijiu could hear the Monster King's voice from around the corner as the sound of footsteps was slowly closing in.
Gu Xijiu lounged in the corner of the corridor and became invisible in the dark. Soon, a group of people came in.
The first one from the group was the Monster King. Next to him was a man in purple. They were followed by a group of soldiers that the Monster King trusted most.
Gu Xijiu gasped in disbelief as soon as she saw the man in purple. His entire face was concealed under a mask painted with ghostly features. She could only see his big, watery eyes shining brightly in the dark.
Could the man be Di Fuyi? His physique certainly resembled Di Fuyi's. Why was he here? Hadn't his relationship with the Monster King fallen through?
Nonetheless, it was possible that the man was not Di Fuyi. Maybe they happened to share similar features.
She stood in the dark, contemplating the situation. Abruptly, the man in purple threw her a quick glance, followed by a frown. Panicked, Gu Xijiu could not help but think if he had seen her.
No one had ever seen through her invisibility skill, so it was rather unlikely that the people in front of her could see her. It was only a quick glance before the man in purple looked away and continued walking next to the Monster King as if nothing had happened. Perhaps, she had overthought.
Gu Xijiu was curious about what would happen next, so she followed the group of people from behind. She then overheard the conversation that was exchanged through directed audios between the mysterious man and the Monster King. The brutal content of their conversation sent chills down her spine.
