Gu Xijiu knew that Ling-Er was the baby that she had just found. ”Don't worry. I will save him,” she reassured.

She carried the baby in her arms. He seemed well. Quietly, his dark eyes were looking at Gu Xijiu fixedly.

”Take him… Closely with you. Do not… Let him get caught.” The woman looked at the baby and was loath to part with him. ”If possible, please send him to… the Shura… Shura Devil Kingdom.”

Gu Xijiu was caught off guard by her request. With a sigh, she confessed, ”I cannot enter into the Devil Kingdom. I tried, but was immediately burned.”

She rolled up her sleeves to reveal her burn. Trembling, the woman tried to hand her a red bottle. ”Apply… Apply this. It is meant to treat the burn.”

Everything seemed fated. Gu Xijiu accepted the bottle.

”Please… I beg you. This child… This child…”
