Chapter 271 Holy Shit, You’re A Tang! (2/2)

Seeing her expression, Mo Sheng frowned. ”Why do you say that?”

”Well, to begin with, he doesn't remember me. I've actually been replaced by a fake daughter...” Lu AnLing said coldly.

Hearing this, Mo Sheng froze.

Looking at Mo Sheng, Lu AnLing sighed.

Lu AnLing: ”I'll explain it all to you whenever we have time... Though, concerning the competition, we just need to practice and work hard... I'm sure we'll do well.”

After Lu AnLing said this, there was a knock at the door.

Kang Liang had been spending so many days at Hotel Helios looking for clues about who had drugged Kang Jun and Lu AnLing. Kang Jun had given him access to all the security footage, so Kang Liang had been spending all his time looking through them. So much time that the man began neglecting his music and duties to Halo Stars.

As he sat in a hotel room looking through footage from years ago, Kang Liang frowned and spoke on the phone with Mo Yichen.

Mo Yichen: ”You didn't show up to meet your manager today, he's freaking out, thinking that you got yourself involved with some shady people.”

”Seriously? Tell him not to worry about that. I'm just... busy...” Kang Liang said.

”You realize you're asking the President of the company you're signed with to do such a menial task for you right?” Mo Yichen's voice sounded annoyed but more than that, he seemed tired with Kang Liang's antics. ”Well, I'm not going to do that. Contact him yourself and stop causing trouble. Is what you're 'busy' with even that important? I better not find out that this has to do with some girl or I swear I'm kicking you out of Halo Stars. I don't care, even if my mother and your grandfather come to threaten me.”

Kang Liang rolled his eyes. It was about a girl, but it wasn't what Mo Yichen was insinuating.

Sure, Kang Liang flirted with girls, but he never went out of his way or neglected his music for them. He wasn't interested in love. Just fun, though he always respected the women he was with.

Kang Liang: ”It's not what you think, okay? So, can you help me out a bit? You know how my manager is. If I contact him, he'll just be annoying. I have something really important to do, so I don't have time for that...”

Mo Yichen: ”More important than your music.”

Kang Liang laughed dryly. ”I would be at Halo Stars right now if it wasn't.

Hearing this, Mo Yichen didn't speak for a second.

Kang Liang loved music and acting. It was his way of being close to his mother. He even adopted a part of his mother's name in the hopes that one day the woman would one day notice him...

Neglecting this, was not something Kang Liang would do.

Because of the silence, Kang Liang brought his whole attention to the screen of his computer, and then he suddenly saw Lu AnLing holding onto Kang Zhi in some footage. They were headed to the elevator.

Once inside. Kang Liang could no longer see anything so he quickly found the elevator footage.

Bringing his face closer to his computer screen Kang Liang's eyes widened.

The two made their way up.

Then the door opened and they got out of the elevator.

Seeing this, Kang Liang sighed. He then searched through the files to see where they had gone after.

As he begun his search, Mo Yichen sighed.

Mo Yichen: ”Fine. But never again. I'll give you as much time as you need to do whatever it is you're doing but after this is done, you better make it up to the company.”

Kang Liang heard every word of what Mo Yichen had said but just as Mo Yichen spoke, Kang Liang stumbled upon the video of Kang Zhi bringing Lu AnLing to the room.

Lu AnLing was dead drunk and Kang Zhi didn't look right either but still, the man treated the girl with care.

Kang Zhi dragged her carefully until he got close to her room number but then, before finding it, At the end of the hall, Kang Zhi stopped.

Looking closer, Kang Liang's eye widened as he saw Kang Jun partially passed out of the floor.
