189 Missing persons 3 (2/2)
From that afternoon in Franciscan Medical Center, Hunter and Olivia used their extensive social network and followed clues to find Suzy. They were disappointed to find out that she is out of town for the weekend.
Next, they looked up several other people who are in the same line of business as Tyler and Suzy and they split up in several groups in order to contact them and investigate if they have anything to do with the disappearance of Max and Liz.
To have more hands on deck, Hunter called Ashton, Jake, Derek, and Mike.
In the end, they had nothing.
They all joined the phone conference call to figure out what to do next.
Mia got an idea: ”Let's gather in Liz's apartment and order food. Over dinner, we can regroup and decide on the next steps…”
”Why in her apartment?”, Sabrina asked nervously. She was never in Liz's place before, and it's not polite to go to someone's home for the first time without a present!
”That is the best place.”, Hunter responded instead of Mia. ”In case Liz and Max return, we will get to know…”
~ Seattle, Continental Views apartment building ~
8:57 PM
Max parked the car in the underground parking of their apartment building and turned off the engine.
”Here we are, back to reality.”, Max said and turned to Liz while unbuckling his seat belt.
Max reached for the glove compartment and his hand hovered above their cell phones (which are turned off).
Liz held Max's hand, preventing him from getting the phones and she looked at him with sparkles in her eyes. ”The reality with you is getting better every day. Can we stay disconnected from the rest of the world until the end of the day?”
Max hummed in approval while leaning closer to Liz. He gave her a lingering kiss on the lips. It was supposed to be a light kiss, but Liz's fingers laced in his hair and she deepened the kiss right away and the situation turned into a steamy one within a second.
His hand glided over her thigh higher under her dress, and she tugged his shirt up.
Max's hand was on the lever to recline Liz's seat when he became aware of the surroundings.
”It is too bright here, and the windows are not tinted. Let's go upstairs and continue where we left off…”, he murmured.
Liz was heated up and breathed heavily, but even with that she visibly blushed at his words. She knows that he is talking about making love. They spent most of the afternoon doing it on his boat! Max has some crazy skills and stamina to support them. And she loves it. She loves him.
Max's smile widened when he saw that Liz nodded in approval. He got out of the car and dashed to the other side, to open the door for Liz.
”My lady…”, he sang while extending his hand, palm up for Liz to take.
She giggled and put her hand into his. When their hands connected she firmly grasped his hand, silently telling him to hurry up.
Max thought of pulling her closer for a kiss, but he told himself to be patient. They will be upstairs in a few minutes and then they can enjoy their privacy.
They are both fancy-dressed in the outfits they wore on the fundraiser on the previous night, and the only thing out of place are two white plastic bags with carry-out food from the Asian restaurant.
”Hold these…”, Max gave both bags to Liz, and in the next moment his hand reached behind her knees and he carried her princess style to the elevator.
”Is your back OK?”, Liz asked with concern.
Max stifled a laugh. ”After everything we did today, now you are worried about my back?”
Liz pursed her lips. ”I am worried. If you get injured now, what will we do tonight?”
Max's eyebrow twitched when he heard Liz shamelessly admitting that she wants them to make love. That is his no-nonsense Elizabeth, speaking her mind. And he loves it. He loves her.
”We can watch jeopardy.”, Max said with a straight face.
Liz paused. Who the heck wants to watch a game show on the television in exchange for screaming in ecstasy? ”Just make sure your back is fine. If you feel any discomfort, let me down immediately, OK?”
Max was doing his best to suppress his grin. Ah, this will be a fun evening. And the rest of their lives…
