Chapter 31 Part2 (1/2)
Chapter 31 Part 2
If a person still have a breath hanging, then as long as they have enough will power, human beings are completely capable of surviving.
I understood this clearly from my experience.
This means that Rei could still be alive now, but not anymore if this drags on.
She is possibly wavering between the state of life and death, and this is a crucial time for her with her life hanging on by a thread. As the only pair of eyes here, I’m the only one who is capable of doing something to save her.
I can only save her now, and I’ll not be late to her rescue.
Rescue that are late cannot be considered as rescue as sometimes, it may turn into harm for the victim.
Only I can help her now… though I have completely no idea on what to do or how to save her.
If I don’t help her now, then wouldn’t I be an accomplice to her injuries indirectly?
If I touch her, but still could not save her in the end, then wouldn’t I be an accomplice in murdering her?
So, if I will be an accomplice no matter whether I choose to save her or not, why will I want to get myself involve in this matter.
That’s right, a normal person will get this. Why would a normal person loiter around a crime scene? I’m not a adventurer nor am I a hero. I just a mere villager.
I’m just a mere potato farmer.
A powerless villager, a powerless potato farmer.
I can’t save anyone, yet I yearn for someone to save me; I shamelessly want others to save me without any means to compensate them for the help.
I’m self-aware about this point, so I have no intention to help others, but if no one helps me, I will feel miserable instead.
However, thick-skinned can indeed protect a person from harm.
I’ll only die in vain if I continue to stay here. The murderer that attack Rei is still nearby. I definitely can’t win against him.
So, let’s flee.
What ever happens to Rei has nothing to do with me.
This is what a normal person will do.
