Chapter 16: Second Episode: Chapter 7

It was dawn. When the incredibly red sun set in the west, the households of Dulin City lighted its lamps. This radiance, accompanied by the yellow halo, quietly shimmered as if they were each telling an intriguing story. From the extravagant living room of the nobles to the simple dining table of the commoners, it was at every corner emitting light and heat.

The city bid farewell to the hustle and bustle of the day. Even the beggars by the roadside stopped their ceaseless begging. They gathered at the dark corners of their lair and shamelessly exchanged their views on begging.

Even though the great nobles of Titan unreasonably caused poverty and toil on the people of lower social statuses, but the God of Light gave his greatest spirit to the public. They were cheerful; they were optimistic. Even though they were tortured by the burdens of life to the point of being numb, they still kept their small happiness.

Even though this happiness simply included dancing, watching a play and drinking some sweet wine, but did you expect these citizens, who could lose their job any time, to have a more noble pursuit? They thought that spitting at the statue of the King was a noble act, but the guards and detectives of the Ministry of Justice thought otherwise. These mad dogs who held thick wood sticks in their hands were always looking for a fight with others. Every citizen of Dulin has heard of the sound of wind when the wooden stick is swung above their head.

It was not His Imperial Highness Prince O’Neil Andrew Morisette’s first time going out to the streets. These few days, after enjoying his dinner, he would call up his beloved sister and bring his sleepy bodyguard along for a night tour of the Imperial Capital.

Writing exhausted His Imperial Highness Prince. He usually rested lazily in the carriage that he borrowed while enjoying the delicate massage by the little miss.

The carriage he borrowed has already sparked suspicion in the Guard Division of the Ministry of Justice. It always lingered on the streets of Dulin until late at night before returning. Some secret agents have tried to follow it, but they were quickly warned by their superior. That carriage must never be messed with. And that included the parts of the carriage, the person who drove the carriage, the person who kept the carriage on schedule and those people sitting in the carriage.

Sasha was doubting her own feelings. She thought that her ”Polar Bear” brother would spend all of his energy trying to digest the food after dinner. Even though she did not understand the state her brother was in now, she could sense the thirst for blood and despair in her brother’s eyes.

Only trapped beasts in wilderness would possess these two emotions that had nothing to do with each other. This kind of beast would either go insane in their thirst for blood or perish in wilderness.

The Oscar at this moment was extremely dangerous! Snowstorm could feel the intent to kill faintly from this young man. He did not understand what this state was about as well. He also could not understand the mind of the young Prince. He began to be afraid of this little fatty since who-knew-when. However, Paul’s wariness of him could not be labelled as fear. As the King of Assassins, he lost such emotions since a long time ago. Paul felt as if it was an instinctive reaction of a male lion when facing an angry rhinoceros. Rather than fear, it was more of a compromise.

Yes, anyone or anything that pissed Oscar off would be eradicated by him without remorse. He drowned himself in the aura of Damorga. He felt that everyone around him was a criminal. He watched them suffer and oppressed. When it was the right time, Oscar would lead them to fight back. Oscar already detected the smell of blood pouring out from the deepest part of Dulin. With the instinct of a beast, he knew that this big city that seemed so prosperous and wealthy on the outside was not as glamorous as it seemed. He knew there was a huge power attempting to cause turmoil or even destruction in this gigantic city.

Even though the Prince had all these messed up thoughts in his mind, he still had reactions to outer stimulus. The guards of the Ministry of Justice were scavenging the bodies of the wanderers who were by the roadside. The young girls who have not even come of age were showing all these absurd poses to seduce passers-by. The gangsters were fighting; the women were arguing; the nobles were going in and out of all sorts of hotels and saloons. The young Prince already lost the beautiful image of this huge city. The Capital now was more like the gathering of scums.

Oscar held his sister’s arm. His voice sounded really strained.

”Sasha, let’s go back! Let’s go home.”

The seven-year-old O’Neil Andrew Morisette has a new home. That home was located at the top floor of the inner fort, the most guarded place in Damorga Prison. The iron gate that imprisoned Oscar seemed much lighter than the stone gate in the dungeon. But this did not matter. The young lad was already accustomed to life in prison. He had many things to do.

Thirteen had prepared many homework for him.

The owner of this prison was another quiet guy. Oscar has seen many slaves who were brought back from war in his hometown. The face of this guy looked really similar to those guys. The deep-rooted enmity between the races made Oscar wary of this person. This young lad followed the teaching of Thirteen to assassinate him. But this so-called general was obviously a monster. Oscar found that this guy was always within his attack range, but he never once succeeded in getting close to him.

Wozakad Elladan actually had a good impression of this young lad. The reason for this was because of this child’s father. The condition for him to agree to take care of this child was to set up a small shrine in his cell. He knew the Andrew family would be able to get this done.

The Duke promised his request. As long as his youngest son was safe, this Sir would not mind paying any price that came with this.

Under the wings of the God of Light, Titan did not allow any existence of a True God. The shrine of Wozakad Elladan would be enough to spark chaos. The Council of Adjournment of the Church of Light would burn every person that was related to it.

This general has never participated in the war that was aimed at the Andrew family. The army he led always fought with the border army of the East Dynasty. Until the time when he was betrayed, he had no idea why such a group of people capable of nasty acts could exist under the foot of True God. They have forgotten about the honor and status that were given by the True God. They only knew to plunder the land, wealth and beauty. When he realized that he was betrayed by the people in power in his country, the general decided to voice his complaints in front of the True God. The True God would forever direct his race and him until they have completely eradicated the evil in humans.

Oscar stopped attempting to assassinate the general after he spent some time with him because the general was a little scared. He could not eat peacefully nor could he sleep well. He had to be on guard with this little fatty all the time. He wondered how a child would know so much about assassination techniques.

The general decided to use some things to divert the attention of the child. He could not let this little fatty begin his fat-burning plan by using him. Wozakad let this young lad speak of some of his requests to the warden on his behalf. At last, he got himself a piece of wood. He used the young lad’s knife to carve the wood into a wooden blade. To be specific, it was a commonly seen Persian Machete.

It was as if the general became another person when he picked up the blade. Oscar could not withstand the charisma of the general, who was like an exploding volcano. The manner astonished the young lad who was mesmerized by it.

Wozakad was actually excited. He had been imprisoned for nine years. For three thousand days and nights, he had longed to hold the weapon he used to have once more. Now he finally did. Even though it was simply a wooden blade, he was satisfied with his own work. This wooden blade even began to shine and reflect cold light like a metal surface.

The general’s wooden blade was dancing. The screeching sound of a cold wind blowing rang throughout the room.

Oscar was stunned. He knew that this new roommate of his was not a small deal, but it was at this moment he understood the true meaning of strength. The general who was practicing his blade must not be infringed upon. His machete could tear apart anything that blocked his way.

In the next few days, Oscar had to enjoy the blade practice of the general once every day. The perfect trajectory of the machete was mesmerizing to the eyes of the young lad. There was a voice in his heart that calling him: he knew it was urging him to pick up this blade.

The cell of the general was very spacious. The general would clean it once every day. It even had an iron window that faced the sun. In the morning, the sunlight and bird would land on this small window that was only forty centimeter wide. The young lad would feed the birds with some food every time he had meals. This was not any kind of child’s mentality. It was because the young lad did not wish to be poisoned to death by some weird things, so the birds were the best subject to be experimented on. The young lad did not find this to be wrong. In the theory of the killers, there were many truths that could only be proved true by lives.

Wozakad Elladan was a standard soldier. Even though the Persian knights did not have a detailed structure, but this did not deter the growth of the soldiers. Wozakad was born on the back of the horse, grew up in the army, practiced his blade skills in the war and experienced the world between life and death. All of these polished his character which became like steel.

Except the great True God, no one could calm the soul of this warrior. Wozakad Elladan sacrificed all his loyalty and passion to this deity. The night before he was caught, he begged for the forgiveness of the True God because he wanted to end his own life. This was a right that was possessed by the True God only.

We knew this general did not die. He even has a good life now. This was not something a Persian general would do. They would usually choose to die along with the enemy. The general did not choose to end his life. This was the issue that became a discussion among the historians in this land. In his memoir, the general commented only one thing: ”The True God has gifted me the unknown, I believe.” These words were undoubtedly bullshit. If he had not said that, there would not be so many debates on this in the future.

Wozakad Elladan's life in the prison was as disciplined as that when he was in battlefield. He would wake up at the same time every day, wake the little fatty at the same time, pray at the same time every day, have meals at the same time every day, and use the machete to kill his imaginary enemy at the same time every day. For the other times of every day, the general would sit in the corner of his cell and pray sincerely.

The general’s Titan Language was not that fluent, but Oscar was not that familiar with grammar and sentence structure either. He had no opportunity to take cultural education in prison. Also, his two roommates were completely illiterate. So he could only make sentences by using words he chose randomly.

The general was really interested in this young lad. He did not know who taught the little fatty of that strange and rare method. However, as a strict soldier and the Warrior of the Black Blade of the highest tier in Persian, he admitted that this method could undoubtedly produce a strong warrior.

The young lad had some complaints with the general. The general would kick him out of his bed when it was not even morning yet, but the young lad respected General Elladan from the bottom of his heart. The discipline of the general, the determination and accuracy of the general and even the devout act of the general towards that scary statue; all of these had affected the self-development and life of the young lad deeply. He learned assassination techniques from Thirteen when he was about five or six years old. But when he was seven, he began to learn the soldier’s way of doing things from this general of a different race. His willingness to learn determined his development in the future.

At the small door outside of the backyard of 31 Penelope Road, His Imperial Highness Prince was helping his sister back home. He really loved the garden of this mansion. There were tall trees and flowers and grass here and there. His cute sister would hold his hands and want to get pampered as they walked among the trees. In those times, he would pluck the most beautiful flower from the garden and present it to his little angel like a knight would do.

It was the same as those few days back. The siblings kissed goodbye in the flower garden. The sister went back to her bedroom in the mansion and the brother went to his own little mansion. Originally this modern building was built from the money right out of Cousin Tich’s pocket. But unfortunately, it was used as a part of a wager during a game of cards. Oscar did not even have to think much to win the building.

The Poison Doctor Percy. Oh right. He was Doctor Parker now. Doctor Parker was waiting for the summoning of the little masters. This was a rule from those days in Damorga. Brother ‘Balance’ would meet up with his members of alliance and subordinates once in awhile. Everyone could report their current situations, or just chat and play some game of cards.

Oscar summoned the doctor in the small study room. There was the favourite sling chair of His Imperial Highness Prince. The fatty had become accustomed to the shaking of the carriage, but being accustomed and enjoying the ride still had a significant difference between them.

The young lad almost immediately found the most comfortable lying position on the sling chair. He lazily narrowed his eyes as he played with a huge cigar in his hands. Everything was just like the way it was in Damorga.

”How is everything lately?” The coldness in the young lad’s words did not match his comfortable expression.

”Thanks to you. Every day could be described as blessed. I am conducting some experiments and also mentoring Miss Fenrar. Everything’s been good, really.” Parker was careful with his reply. He knew that this young lad had a temper lately. He had no interest to get involved with that.

”Oh, that is good then. That Miss Fenrar did not involve you in any kind of trouble, did she?” Oscar still had some impression of the daughter who was saved by Uncle Cage with his life as the cost. That girl was quite alright in look and qualities.

When Oscar talked about his student, Parker felt really proud. Miss Fenrar’s heart and passion towards medical field would undoubtedly prompt her to become an excellent doctor.

”Oh, right. Be rest assured. Miss Fenrar is a good student. I believe she will become a qualified doctor, but apparently she has a bad condition now. She is a little confused. This confusion has affected her progress in learning.”

”Oh? Let’s talk about it.” The truth was Oscar had no interest or whatsoever in the confusion of Miss Fenrar. But the reason that he asked was because this was originally the time for them to chat about whatever they wanted. The Prince needed some trivial matter to calm his nerves that was caused by the memoir.

”Keke! This is a girl’s problem. Miss Fenrar was your maid, no? But you never asked her to carry out the duty in that aspect, so this fact made her overly self-conscious among the other girls. So... Keke. You should understand that this is just the way it is.”

Oscar gave a thought about it. He did not understand the so-called girl’s problem of that Miss Fenrar. So she needed to work like a maid, was that it? Then he could definitely pass some work for her to do. This was a simple issue to solve.

The Poison Doctor came out of the small study room, still slight angry. That little fatty announced the end of the meeting after he only spoke of a few matters. What did this mean? Parker told Ricky the Liar who was waiting outside of the door to be cautious. His Imperial Highness Prince was not really himself today.

Oscar was already at the door before Ricky came in. He had to give a friendly hug to this imposter baron. The Liar was different than Percy. At Damorga, Toby Ryan Creech was one of the few mentors of the young lad. Even though the evil son of the Creech family was a huge liar, but he was still a top rank noble. He taught little Oscar to act like a gentleman that even God had to praise about.

Why could little Ricky become the biggest liar in Westland? First, this was the hobby of this guy. Other than that, little Ricky should have received baptism already since his father was a Duke.
