Chapter 345 - Hypocritical Mask (1/2)

”Tell your mother not to come to the Atmajaya Family next time. Without your mother, you can become the second son of the Atmajaya Family. With your mother, you won't be able to remove the label of illegitimate child from yourself,” Aiden said when Ivan wanted to leave the room.

When Aiden said that, the expression on Anya's face froze. She looked at Ivan uncomfortably and also with pity.

Aiden's words made Ivan frown a little and his head bowed.

”Aiden, is that how you talk to your brother?” Bima warned.

After hearing this, Ivan's face returned to normal. He waved his hand and said casually, ”I will tell my mother not to come to this house looking for me,”

”Ivan, Aiden didn't mean it like that. He said it for your good,” Maria said, trying to intervene.

”I understand,” Ivan smiled, especially at Anya who looked worried.

Anya blinked her eyes and tried to hold back her tears. She felt very sad.

The man who she considered an older brother, the man who always looked after her when she was little, had been living this way in the Atmajaya family.

If he could choose his own life, would Ivan still want to be the second son of the Atmajaya Family?

After Ivan left, Aiden and Anya also returned to their home.

On the way home, Anya leaned her head against the car's window and pensively looked outside without saying anything.

”Aren't you glad I said that?” Aiden's voice was cold. He was annoyed that Anya didn't defend him.

Anya woke up from her reverie and looked at Aiden. ”He didn't intend to fight with you. There's no need to attack him like that,”

Aiden grabbed Anya's chin, forcing her to face him. His eyes looked very cold. ”His existence alone is a mistake. Whether he wanted to fight with me or not, he was still the second son of the Atmajaya Family. If he doesn't want to compete with me, then he shouldn't have returned to the Atmajaya Family ten years ago,”

”At least he doesn't…”

”How well do you know him? Anya, ten years ago, Ivan was the same age as you are now. He's not a kid. He is a grown man. Do you think he doesn't know what his mother is doing? He's not as innocent as you think, not as good as you think. Don't be fooled by his mask. He's a hypocrite,” Aiden said.

Anya stared at Aiden, thinking carefully about Aiden's words.

She remembered how Ivan had looked after her when she was a child. And how Ivan ended up getting hurt to save her.

But Anya never really knew Ivan. She didn't even know that Ivan was the son of the Atmajaya Family.

What she saw was what Ivan showed her, not the real Ivan.

After thinking about it carefully, Anya calmed herself down and said, ”I know. I'll be careful,”

Aiden let go of her grip on Anya's chin and stroked her head. ”Are you going to campus tomorrow?”

”Yes,” Anya nodded.

”You can replace me to visit Ivan and give flowers to him at the hospital tomorrow,” Aiden said.

Anya was silent for a moment. ”Should I go alone?”

”At Dartha Hospital, no one dared to do anything to you. Don't worry,” Aiden said casually.

Anya just smiled awkwardly. In truth, she wasn't worried that anything would happen to her. She was more worried that Aiden would be jealous if she met another man, even though that man was his own brother.

”When do I have to go tomorrow?” Anya asked.

”My father will go there during the day. You can go during the day too,” Aiden.
