Chapter 130 - Apprenticeship Program (2/2)
”Today, the situation is different. I need Mrs. Esther to stabilize this situation and she wants to know if you are willing to do anything for me.” Anya whispered quietly, ”Are you mad at me?”
”I'm not the one who wants to keep our marriage a secret. So, are you telling others what you need by using my power to persuade them?” Aiden seemed to be deep in thought. Actually, he didn't feel angry. He just wanted to tease Anya.
However, Anya's brain thought differently. She was overwhelmed by the question. She herself had asked Aiden not to tell anyone about their marriage. But now, when she needed Aiden's help, she didn't hesitate to reveal that she and Aiden were married.
”Aiden, I'm sorry. I was guilty.” Anya immediately admitted her mistake.
”What's your fault?” Aiden looked at Anya with an unpredictable gaze.
”I shouldn't have told our relationship to Mrs. Esther without your permission.” Anya's voice sounded low like a child admitting her mistake.
”There are more?” Aiden tilted his head.
In her heart, Anya really wanted to cry. She felt that now she was not dealing with her husband, but a father who wanted to educate her child.
She racked her brain and said quietly, ”I recruited Mrs. Esther without your permission even though Rose Scent is yours.”
Aiden's eyebrows rose as he looked at Anya with a faint smile, ”Have you? Is that all?”
”Do you think I have more?” Anya felt confused. She didn't know what else she did wrong.
”I'm asking you.” Aiden replied. He didn't want to give instructions to Anya.
Anya again racked her brain and her intelligence finally figured out why Aiden was angry. But she wasn't sure about it. How could Aiden get mad for some ridiculous reason?
”I wasn't home when you finished resting. I didn't spend dinner with you. Aiden, I'm sorry.” She said pitifully.
Aiden smiled thinly at that, though he felt Anya was very cute when admitting her guilt like this, ”Do you really feel guilty?” It was true that Aiden was not angry because Anya used his name or because the woman had leaked their relationship in front of Esther. He was annoyed that he couldn't spend the dinner with his wife that he'd missed so much.
”I really feel guilty. I'm not a good wife. Next time, I'll have dinner with you, no matter how busy I am. Are you willing to forgive me this time?” Anya asked, hugging Aiden's arm as she said in a pitiful voice.
”Hmm… I'll think about it.” Aiden's voice sounded calm, but his face was no longer as stern as before. If Anya paid close attention, she should have known that Aiden was teasing her.
”My husband...” Anya gave her last move. She seldom referred to Aiden as her husband, but she knew that men would like spoiled and dependent women sometimes.
Aiden was very happy to hear the call. He could feel Anya slowly opening her heart to him. At first, Anya looked very scared whenever she met him. The woman couldn't wait to run away from him. But now, Anya could act spoiled when she tried to persuade him. Of course Aiden was very happy!
From the driver's seat, Abdi glanced slightly back through the rearview mirror. His lips curved slightly into a smile when he heard the conversation between his two masters. It was rare for him to see Aiden acting like this.
When Aiden's eyes met his eyes in the rearview mirror, Abdi immediately looked away, pretending he didn't know what was going on.
”I'll forgive you, but there are conditions.” Aiden said.
”What are the conditions?” Anya was immediately excited when she heard Aiden wanted to forgive her.
”When the apprenticeship program in your college starts, you have to do an internship at the Atmajaya Group.” Aiden said.
Anya immediately frowned at the condition. She didn't like it. She had chosen a place for an internship—Rose Scent. Her current workplace.
She wanted to learn from Esther while making the Rose Scent bigger to bring down Imel.
However, Aiden told her to choose the Atmajaya Group instead. Wasn't that the same as killing her dream?
”Don't you want to?” Aiden asked.
